I did follow the reemergence of Ernie Terrell, I wanted to see him comeback to become a serious threat in the division, like he once was. They fought on Oct 23 1972, Terrell won it on points in 10 rounds, the paper said it was a good fight.

I thought Terrell stopped Garcia in 6?

Ernie Terrell 220 lbs beat Jose Luis Garcia 211 lbs by TKO in round 6 of 10

"Former heavyweight champ Ernie Terrell scored a TKO over Venezuela's Jose Luis Garcia in the 6th round of their scheduled 10 round fight Monday night. Terrell knocked Garcia out of the ring in the 6th, but the Venezuelan came back fighting after taking a nine count only to fall to the canvas seconds later. The Venezuelan, 5th in the WBA rankings, looked shaky after the 3rd when Terrell, of Chicago, landed several lefts and rights to his body and head." -Associated Press

After Garcia beat Norton, I thought this was pretty impressive of Terrell, esp. since he won by knockout. Terrell sounded like he was on fire that night.
