Mate, it's pretty much a given, knowing that a week later they were pretty much the same as any other fight. The average Joe would say no. The benefit of hindsight. I think any fight that is evenly matched where one is very hurt & the other is not hurt at all, makes the match basically one-sided, & dangerous. Having said that, In the local Ganoy V Onikeke fight, I would have stopped that in the 2nd round. I t was a brutal bash until part way thru the 2nd, Ganoy was just about out on his feet, but with his power, he clocked Onikeke & got a repreive, & that's the way it went. It was one of the most amazing fights of this decade, but I would have ruined that. I thought Ganoy was in a very dangerous situation, Barry Micheal was calling out, "Stop the fight mate, stop the fight"!! Same would apply for Gatti & Ward. I would be too selfish worrying about my conscience than a bunch of yobbo's baying blood.
TV Commentators have a habit of talking complete bollocks sometimes! There have been some really good comments posted above, and it is pleasing to see that some fans understand the safety aspect over what makes a great spectacle! I have always maintained that if a fighter gets seriously hurt or killed in a fight I referee and upon reflection I was culpable I would never referee again. I don't want to have to look someone in the eye and tell them the reason their loved one is a dribbling mess in the corner is because "It was a title fight, and I wanted them to have every opportunity". There is the odd fight that I have done that I look back on and shudder and think if I could have my time again on I would have stopped it sooner. But I have loooked at some and don't feel hypocritical in thinking to myself "How the **** do you sleep at night?" As was said a little earlier, saftey 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Dear Leon, Thanks for your question. Response - Ulcers, especially ulcers in the eye of the ***** can be cleaned up within 7 days using a variety of over-the-counter creams. To my knowledge the ulcers are usually the result of pet owners who seem "to love their pets a little too much." Stay safe Regards IBOlogist
Dear Teke & Phil, I have enjoyed watching the first two episodes of the new series of Dexter. Hope you have fun with your menage a trois with ash tonight. Who gets to play Choc? Regards, Leon'JohnLithgowistheTrinityKiller'McS
