However, if anyone else can answer my quuestion then fire away. However, as no-one has been able to answer the question so far I thought I would ask the man himself, as hes off-air at the moment, & is known to check in to check out what we mere mortals are discussing from time to time. My question is simple. Is the domestic clash of the titans between Alex Arthur & Nicky Cook going to be shown on Setanta or not? From what I have heard its looking bleak, & the fight might only be shown on internet PPV, Franks own PPV channel of course... No-one knows whats going on, so I thought I would ask the big Bunce man himself whats going on regarding Setanta & this fight. I mean its under a month away & no-one knows what the **** is going on.
Do I even need to answer that? If you know just cut the bull**** & give me an honest answer. If you dont want to though, dont. For crying out loud, I just want a straight answer.
sorry it's not Buncey ... but i think you'll find out in the next few days that Sky has done a deal with Frank Warren and Amir Khan. When boxing resumes it'll be Matchroom, Maloney and Warren on Sky ... possibly PPV for Khan fights and normal Sky for other Warren bills .... Sky starting Sept 6th with Cook/Arthur bill, then following week with the prizefighter bill. ITV look like closing a 10-12 fight deal with Hennessey. Setanta will be doing Haye shows (Sept 20th .. Ryan Rhodes), and overseas shows (Aug 30th Calderon and Sept 13th Campbell v Guzman). Hope that helps ...
How do you know this? must have been a get out clause for both setanta and warren in the first 6 months. big loss for setanta. if Khan gos PPV he better be fighting big names. Wonder if warren fights will be on Fridays or saturdays.
maybe hes copied it from the boxrec forum ...there is a threrad which ppl were posting that on it ...
No need to apologize my good man for not being Bunce, it was a long shot me asking anyway. I was so desperate to find out if I would be able to see Arthur-Cooke I had to throw the question out there to anyone who could give me a proper answer. Thanks for the info.
Arthur is usually tucked on an undercard somewhere. Good to see him moving up, though it does seem like this fight is a cosy SN arrangement rather than a true title fight.
