I don't think you'll get better odds in Wales than you can online. Go to http://www.oddschecker.com/ and you'll get that you can get 9/4 on Hopkins at Bet365. Bet365 also give you your money back if it's a draw!

Why would you want to bet on Hopkins in Wales? Bet online or with a US/ foriegn bookie, you'll get better odds.

I think he thinks that the Welsh will bet loads on Calzaghe thus pushing Hopkins's odds up. I don't think it works like that so much these days as everyone has access to the same odds via the internet.

If 9/4 isn't good enough you could wait until a few days before the fight. Mayweather's odds against Hatton peaked a day or two before the fight.

that is exactly how i see it + I have a cousin in Cardiff and if its worth it i will ask him to bet it for me.

I mean yea everyone has access to the same odds via internet but a shop bookie gets only locals and therefore must cover his ass if too much betting goes one way by tipping the odds the other way

True although I think the big chains like Ladbrokes just use the same odds for the whole country and the net. You'd be best to target the independent bookies. I don't know much about that as I do all my gambling online.

Most of the shop bookies are national chains and the odds are the same in all the shops and on those chains websites.

There are a few local bookmakers left scattered around Cardiff. I think your basic premise is wrong however. If they have too much liabilities on one boxer all they will do is lay the bets off with a larger bookmaker rather than radically adjusting the odds.

you might get some decent odds in random independents in the valleys or somewhere or else they will be wht you can get on the net.
