What do you feel like when you get down to that absolute minimum weight? I drank a bit more than I should have this weekend and I woke up hung over and dehydrated the next day and I couldn't help but wonder if this is what guys feel like when they make weight. Afterall dehydration is dehydration no? How would you describe the feeling?

Yeah thats a good example of how it feels i usually have about seven pounds to lose when i make wait and i always feel very drained afterward and with same day weigh ins as the matchs losing alot weight like that quickly can effect your performance in a match

when I had to make weight, I was starving at the weigh in - but after the weigh in, the team went and had a good meal. After that i felt ok, but when the fight started, I drained faster than normal. It all catches up when the fight begins. I even had a headache from the dehydration. We would rub abeline on our body before the weigh in and run. The abeline makes you sweat off all the water weight.

If you want to make the weight, I suggest you burn as much fat as possible. 7-8% body fat is pretty darn good and is what you should be targeting for imo. After that you can do the dehydrating bit. Ice cubes and some food should tithe you over the night before weigh in. Ya just don't drink water haha. you also lose about .3 lbs overnight
Just concentrate on burning as much fat as possible,.... you shouldn't be too worried about losing large amounts of water weight.... whats the point?

hungry is the main thing i feel......making weight is nothing like a hangover....well not the hangovers i've had

i think the excitement of fighting makes you forget how **** makin weight is...although to me making weight is only having an early dinner and not eating till weigh in so i don't have it as tough as some of these guys
