I missed it but saw the result and a brief 30 second replay How do you rate the win? How did Donaire look? Who won the first round? What made the difference? Fight one was very competitive, does it look like inonue exploited something he saw in the first fight? He hurt Donaire late in fight one and fought injured. Just curious for feedback as i may not get to see this for a few days
I fell asleep right before the fight, but watched it as soon as I woke up. Donaire looked good, but Inoue's physique put him on a different level. He was way, way, way faster than I have ever seen him, like he was a totally different physical specimen. Almost any time Donaire landed, Inoue landed two. He moved back a lot more than usual, and his counter punching was a lot better. His speed in counterpunching combined with his insane power ended the fight quickly.
That's a lot of questions about a fight which lasted 4 1/2 minutes. Donaire looked okay and was holding his own in the first round until he was knocked down with fifteen seconds to go. The difference was simple. Well placed, very powerful punches which wobbled and stunned Donaire. Once Donaire was hurt in the second round, Monster was all over him until he went down. The referee stopped it without a count.
