Stopped reading at the word compubox. Jacobs landed the more significant, damaging punches in the majority of rounds. Golovkin was swinging big and missing.

Like always said if Povetkin felt the WBC were corrupt against him he could went for the other belts but he didn't do obviously accepted their decisions and protocols. Anyways the saga is sorted hopefully we don't see that cheat again.

I had it the same. I watched the fight after i had heard rumblings that people thought Jacobs won. I then saw the fight and wondered what fight people were watching. The fight was not as close as people made it out to be and i sure as sht did not think jacobs won. And im a jacobs fan!!! I saw a lot of punches hitting gloves, shoulders or glancing off of GGG for the most part. I could not give Jacobs more than 4 rounds maybe 5 at best but no way he won. I also think people like Kellerman who say GGG is on the decline and it was his worst performance are morons.

They stuck around even after the meldonium issue so your point is moot.

The compubox numbers are nonsense in these types of fights.

I originally scored it 7-5 then on second viewing 6-6 either way I have Triple G winning. And I gave Jacobs round 1 and 8 two rounds that could've easily have gone other way. (That was on my 6-6 scorecard) originally I gave round 8 to GGG.
I think it was clear but close win for GGG effective aggression and better punch technique helped him win the fight.
I also don't believe he is getting enough respect for this win. Jacobs a decorated amateur was 32-1 with 29 KOS. Hadn't lost in years and is a known puncher. Came into the ring huge I would say at least 180lbs with victor conte in his camp. 5 years younger and still he couldn't hurt GGG or even make him go backwards.
This is a solid win for GGG

Now watch it with your eyes open.

Warning: You may end up scoring the fight for Jacobs.

I watched it again on a good link and thought there's equal arguments for a 1 point Jacobs victory, 1 point Golovkin victory and 2 point Golovkin victory - I had it 1 point to Golovkin.

It was ultimately an even fight and I'm not convinced either did enough for the other to hold the title of 'loser' of this bout.

I don't know what people were watching but you get some idiots on here.

    As I remember it.

Round 1 - Golovkin controlled the general pace of the and stung Jacobs with a few hard and clean jabs.

Round 2 - I seem to remember this was a tad closer but again clear. Golovkin won by working the jabs. Jacobs let his hands go a bit but was missing and/or hitting gloves. Golovkin was just taking half a step and blocking the shots.

Round 3 - Again similar to the second, clearly Golovkin based on the fact his punches were actually landing, were sterner, he was throwing just as much as Jacobs was but perhaps Jacobs did a little less work than he did in 2nd.

Round 4 - This was obvious. There was a knock down and Jacobs was hurt quite badly. I noticed the refferee stopped the action for a little while after Jacobs was dropped and quite badly hurt which seemed to help him recover a lot. I'm not saying it was a biased act but it did help him a lot. I seem to remember Golovkin also landing a lot of heavy jabs which were rocking him after the knock down.

Round 5 - Again very clear round to Golovkin similar to the first. Jacobs seemed to still be slightly effected from the round before, think he might have landed a pretty hard shot right on the bell on Golovkin.

I watched this the day after on youtube and for me the fight was no where near as close as I had been expecting t would be after reading a lot of posts. I think I had it 117-110 in favour of Golovkin but could tolerate anything from that to 115-112 in Golovkin's favour but that is being generous towards Jacobs.

All of this about it being a robbery is shear lunacy but Jacobs did come back into the fight a little as it went on. I think I gave him the 6th, 8th and 11th but the 10th was quite close.

I quite enjoyed the fight, known about Jacobs for quite a while now but only really seen him in highlights and fights which have not lasted very long such as the first Sergio Mora fight and the Peter Quillin fight.

Danny Jacobs reminds me quite a lot of Jermain Taylor in appearance and fighting style. I will enjoy following his career from now on and wouldn't mind seeing him in with Golovkin again 18 months down the line to see how a rematch would pan out.

How can you even attempt to say that while stating you haven't seen the fight yet? Absurd.

It is not a good practice to score even two of the first five rounds of any fight. Pro judges barely score one of twelve rounds even not to mention two of five. It is against the unwritten rules of pro scoring. Your scoring is terrible. Judge don't just count punches.

But you did not watch their fight. Until you do, your stating the opinion of one who isn't even qualified to comment on the actual fight. Really...who the heck does that stuff?

I have a feeling many here commenting did not even watch the fight, especially from the many posts of those saying they weren't even going to buy it.
