Question for those who scored any of first five rounds to Jacobs

    Is this real?

    Round 4 - as you mentioned, clear 10-8.
    Round 5 - I am shocked people are even debating this. Golovkin was much more active than Jacobs.
    Round 9 - Golovkin hurt Jacobs and clearly won.
    Round 12 - Competitive but Golovkin snapped Jacobs head back a few times and was more active.

    I didn't think any of these were debatable. And this isn't including other rounds I thought Golovkin won.

    By the way, everyone in my gym thought GGG won the fight. And those are guys who have been in boxing for most of their time.

    You didn't watch the fight, and are trying to comment on it. You don't have a leg to stand on.

    Everyone thanks for input! Would be great to read more, especially those who are planning to rewatch and rescore.

    Isal and IKSAB, I would agree with your criteria in some later rounds, but then again the first five rounds in my opinion are not the case, GGG was going forward landing more clear punches, while Jacobs was hitting less and those punches landed by Jacobs would not give any edge which was the case after round 5.

    Jacobs was a contender for the belts and should have shown more than that to score rounds for him. Yet at the same time he did great attempt. And here probably lies the issue with scoring, in my opinion of course, people are used to totally dominant rounds by GGG and when he is not like this they give those rounds to an opponent not to paying attention to the work done by GGG in such rounds.

    I gave Jacobs round two but if any round was a 10/10 then both those first rounds were,I reckon this was judged like the first Frampton v Cruz fight in that at a distance some of Danny's work looked good but close up for the judges the quality work inc punches that hurt all came from Golovkin,say what you like about the scores but I don't think even the most staunchest of GGG haters could deny that,when one guy has been floored and clearly hurt a few times you'd think he'd have to at least the same or more to his opponent to get the nod no?

    Youre arguing with trolls. Half of them dont even hate the guy, just get a rise out of trolling him and his fans. Guarantee you if Gennady floored the roided cruiserweight in every round, they'd still be on here claiming he lost or calling him a bum for not being able to stop roidy cruiser

    I had the 2nd rnd basically a draw that I gave to Jacobs just to give him a round since everyone said the fight was so close or Jacobs won. If I gave that to GGG than the fight was 116-111.
