Sure, valid criticisms. I said the amount of threads that have been created since Saturday night, the lengths gone to find something to criticize Canelo, from him not fighting Beterbiev to how his fight with SMW WBA regular Champion Fielding was advertised is beyond ridiculous.
I think even the most loyal Canelo fan would have to concede he isn't quite the golden child, all time great, living legend that he's made out to be in some quarters. If a person can't be objective and rational, even/especially about a fighter they like, that is a bit strange and suggests there's something more to it than just being a regular "fan" or "supporter". Do you not agree?
It baffles me how some of these fans are so scared, so invested in a fighter, they lose all rationale and ability to see any type of criticism as legitimate.
I haven't seen too many if any people saying he's an ATG or living legend. Show me who said this so I can debate them.
So the 155 thing as Middleweight champ was was BS. Saying he wasn't a middleweight after weighing in over 154 and becoming lineal middleweight champ was silly and it looks ridiculous that he was claiming he couldn't fight Golovkin at 160 having had so much success north of the division now. He shouldn't have promised to fight Golovkin only to throw his belt in the bin when asked to do so and then look like he was waiting the guy at. The drugs test we appear to agree on. I don't like that he rehydrated massively when it was to his advantage and then later on enforced restrictive clauses on others. He knows this looks bad himself as this is why he tried to hide it ahead of the Kovalev fight. Isal defends everything and even he has avoided answering why Team Canelo actually lied about having a rehydration clause in the Kovalev fight.
You haven't seen anybody saying stuff like "he must be an ATG" or "Canelo is a legend", and other similar sorts of stuff?
Not really, I have not noticed anyone saying what you're claiming. I personally said that Canelo is an ATG in the "making", which is my opinion, and it has substance when you consider that he's: -A three division champion -MW lineal champion -Lt HW champion -Was JrMW champion -Won 14 title fights -Six time world champion -Has beat 13 current or former champions -and has beat fighters like Kovalev, Golovkin, Cotto, Lara, and other fighters like Trout, and Jacobs. And he's only 29.
Criticism is fine and dandy, no one and no fighter is perfect. The baffling part is the more than a dozen threads made since Saturday's spectacular KO win over Kovalev dedicated to hating on Canelo. There's a lot of butthurtness going around. lol
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I don't have to get over nothing. I don't care that he gets hate bro. I'm just responding to these dumbass threads and posts made by his haters. You guys are the ones crying about how "Canelo fans" think he's so great. lol I simply pointed about how absurd it is to have almost two dozen threds made dedicated to hating Canelo since Sat. HAHAHA.. its funny.
I don't post about canelo fans thinking he's great. If this is your "Lump all in one" posts, then it has nothing to do with me. After every big fight, there are always TONS of threads the next Monday. AND.... the comments immediately after big fights tend to be mostly crap. Happens every single time a big fight happens.
Why are you so baffled that fans of a fighter counter what they feel is unjust criticism? That's odd.
Because with highly vested fans of a fighter, what is deemed unjust to them, might not be to the rest of the world. Hard to take the opinions of super fans serious. Why do you think I ignore obvious trolls like dinoV, yeye, or drenlou? Because one can spend a whole day wasting time with these types of posters.
Super fans, how about the Super haters? That's why we have this platform Lance. To discuss, debate and argue our points of views. Stop being such a snowflake. You're baffled that super fans express their points of views to super haters... WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TOO! How dare anyone express a countering point of view?
