I disagree his chin is more like copper. It can be dented(has) but wont break or fold as easy as glass or aluminum. If you dont agree with me thats cool, but dont you ever dare bring him up during "best chin" conversations.

    Well put.

Joe C. also adjusts game plans during fights better than boxer in the sport currently. It more than makes up for his soft hands.

Why, because you don't agree with me? And YOU bring objectivity when discussing this topic?

    Respond to my statements proper.

    Hrm.

Joe got caught by B-Hop early and went down, he wasn't visibly shaken and indeed, straight afterwards went back to pressuring B-Hop. Not the actions of someone completely shaken.

Calzaghe has an iron chin, he's been down before, as have most boxers who come in the way he does, ultimately, B-Hop lost due to his inability to adapt, not his age.

As for the arguments on Joe's jaw.

Let's just say, every single time he's gone down, he's got back up and won the fight easily.

He was never really badly hurt. He was only stunned the first time, so how you conjured up a few others that seemingly snuck under the radar I've no idea.

Bernard Hopkins in my opinion won the fight, he landed the more accurate shots, cleaner punches, but Calzaghe threw more and the judges obviously gave it to him, Calzaghe's face was bust up, Bernard didn't have a mark on him. Hopkins should have jumped on Calzaghe as soon as he had him down then it might have been a different story. Not a very convincing win by Joe Calzaghe.

Amsterdam....cmon man. I know you really dont feel that way.

Lets look at some things you got HORRIBLY wrong.

When Hopkins pressed the action, he was winning easily. My wife who hates boxing watched this fight with me and even said she that everytime Hopkins pressed Calzaghe (or as she put it, threw more than one punch at a time) he dominated him. Only problem was, he did it VERY, VERY few and far between. Even people with ZERO boxing knowledge could see this...it confuses me why you cannot.

Most people feel the fight was close. And Im not talking most fans...fighters, announcers, media, etc.

Calzaghe after the fight admitted he was hurt on the KD. Why cant you???

And Hopkins landed that right pretty well that night (even you can admit this)...you think that a PRIME Bernard would not??? That is a MIGHTY leap there bro.

I had the fight 8-4 to Calzaghe and I gave him EVERY SINGLE CLOSE ROUND!!! Ive watched the fight a bunch of times and Im telling you, 9-3 is a HUGE stretch.

Is this how you win a fight now? And a little cut on the nose constitutes a busted up face? :huh

now why do i have to be a hater? Cant i be a realist? Usually guys who are considered ironed chined guys have been hit by Alltime great punchers flush and taken it well. Calzaghe's biggest puncher he fought didn't even hit him flush and was overrated in punching power (not strength). Look I know the guys he's fought but to say he has a lamotta, Chavez, Mercer, hagler chin isn't cool. YOu didn't say that but those guys are what you call iron chined, lets not use the "IRONchin" moniker in vain. I understand what your saying but Vargas had never been down as an amature or pro till he fought Tito and he shook it off got up and than got ktfo in the 12

Sigh, I really do love the revisionists.

Look, I love B-Hop but his style was always going to be tough to win with against Joe Calzaghe.

Quite simply, if we rewind 6 years to 2002, yes, you have a fresher B-Hop. You also have a faster, more power punching Calzaghe and one that hadn't hit the canvas yet.

This fight was not about age, this fight was about adapting.

If you don't believe this - go take a look at any 12 round Joe Calzaghe fight. Hopkins being tired at the end is just systematic of being in there against a guy who is constantly coming at you, throwing punches, making you move.

It's what I call the Roy Jones Jr effect, nothing you do prior to facing him will prepare you for what you're going to get.

Not once did I see where Joe was really hurt. Dropped legitimately, yes. Hurt, no.

It's hard to fight a hugger! But even so no fighter has ever landed more shots in a fight against Hopkins and Joe C. clearly won that fight.
