Question: If Cotto has such a huge fan base, why was the crowd chanting Mosley?

    Im sure being recognised as the p4p number by basically all "real"boxing experts is praise enogh.I mean im a floyd 2 man but in no way do i ever ***** about cotto,the guy is a world class fighter. And im curious this praise for cotto(which he gets so much more than floyd) what is this based on,his fans on this site?

    That is Trinidad you're talking about.. Of course h'd get more cheer's than Mosley..

    Mayweather may be a big household name and the biggest name to the average boxing fan, but truely most boxing fans that know all about the sport dislike him.

    I'd say its about 50/50 love hate. Before the Hatton fight I believe he was hated more then loved, but like I said, I think most see him now as a true warrior and know his demeanor before fights is just selling tickets. I dont think Cotto brings any presonality with him to the table so I dont ever seeing him being a household name unless he absolutely destroyed Mayweather.

    Its a big thing when you are talking about non serious boxing fans. If you watched Mosley/Cotto 24/7 he's being taken through the streets of Puerto Rico during a parade or something and he has the most emotionless look on his face. Its hard to reach a wide audience with a demeanor like that, unless you just start knocking muther****ers out constantly, but I dont think thats Cotto's game at 147.

    One more point I want to make Miguel Cotto is 32 fights into his career and has sold out MSG 4 times and AC 2 times. Floyd Mayweather when he was 32 fights into his career was fighting in front of an half empty arena in Miami against Henry Bruseles. So this thread is just hatred really.

    Cotto is a grown ass man. A very serious grown ass man that means business thats all there is to him. Just because he lacks the charisma of Trinidad doesn't really mean much, Cotto should have grown on anyone with half a brain and any appreciation to a talented boxers career. The guy represents his island and the sport of boxing with CLASS

    FRAUD is NOT a warrior he hasnt proven he is a warrior just look at the baldomir fight warriors dont get bbooooeeeeddd like that and cry like bitches in the post fight and how is beating an undersized bum at 147 who gets trashed by the top 10 WW's makes you a warrior, perfect example of a fight between 2 warriors is Cotto vs Mosley, Cotto vs Margarito.. dont put the word warrior and FRAUD in the same sentence please ...:patsch :patsch

    Didnt Mayweather/Judah sell more tickets then Cotto/Mosley? I heard the numbers were quite low, should have probably been on HBO.

    Cotto carries himself WITH RESPECT and has a focused and disciplined NATURE. He's TRUE FAMILY MAN. Thats far more RESPECTABLE than TALKING ****:goodCourse, you dont know nuthin bout dat:nono

    WIns and quality of opposition belong to Cotto. He's KNOWN, he gets PPV Buy's and PBF vs Cotto will do VERY WELL. Make the fight, do the 24/7 and step right up:good

    Anyways, I know exactly what Cotto is, it has nothign to do with him attracting a fanbase.

    There are plenty of talented fighters in the world, why should Cotto have grown on me lol? I just see another beat Floyd hype job with a poor defense. Again not saying that I dont hope the best for him. :happy Gooo Cotto!

    If your talking bout ppv numbers your probably right but Cotto/Mosley fight sold out MSG, I truly do believe that your getting mixed up with the Tito/Roy fight that did well with ppv numbers but did'nt sell out the MSG arena.
