In America? Probably not but he's not American and he probably sells much better in the Philipines.

Pre Marquez 4 yes, now no.
Canelo brings a huge influx of numbers himself, i mean look at Mayweather vs Guerrero compared to Mayweather vs Canelo.

Add to that a lot of Mexicans have been wanting Pac to lose so yes i think so.

Probably? I can't say no for sure...
When PAC fought De La Hoya he was just about to peak. (Popularity)

Dare I say he is prob the most pop boxer after Mayweather??
    (Maybe even moreso)

    Not sure tho... Good question.

Oscar/Pac was considered a joke fight by many and it still managed to do huge numbers so that's not a valid comparison.

no. people watch to see if mayweather will lose for the most part but i think after his performance vs canelo, he's starting to win over more fans.

    Nope.

Probably 1.3 million, the same amount that bought Pac/JMM III.

    I dont think so.

People will pay to watch a Mayweather fight if they believe the other guy actually has a chance.

If he fights a Guerrero type again, someone tha casual fan has never heard of, Mayweather is going back to selling 600 to 700k tops.
A pretty good buyrate actually, considering who he's fighting, but just not enough to cover what Mayweather is demanding he get paid.

Thats Mayweathers dillema now. Its going to be interesting to see who he picks to fight next and what he will demand financially.

    Pacquiao, Chavez Jr., Martinez, Golovkin......
Three of them are middleweights, but if Mayweather wants to get paid in excesss of 10 million, those are the only fights that would create that.

He got paid 8 million for Carlos Baldomir in 2006. That PPV sold somewhere around 300k. (edit: maybe 225k or something even?)

He would get paid 10 million if he dragged Katsidis out of retirement.

Thats what the 4th fight did. The third fight did closer to 1.5 million.
The third fight was Pacquiao's highest selling PPV in his career.

The 4th fight did less numbers as the people no longer viewed it more as a wwe wrestling type of even where the winner was allready a forgone conclusion and a distance fight meant another ridiculous Pacquiao decision.
