Im weighing in at 63Kg right now and im around 1.75m tall. I seem to have a small problem, my power. My main element is speed and i use it alot to my advantage but then i have no or better to say little ammount of strength which i can use for power shots. I spoke to my coach and he said im heavy cause of my bone structure and that my full power will come once i fully develop (im 16 in 3 days) and suggested to keep adding as much speed as i can. I fully agree to this but at this point i don't know what to do to increase speed anymore, i've been doing everything for a year n a half to increase speed and i can't see much difference anymore and only result im getting is tons of speed (which is amazing for amateurs) but no power at all. Any ideas what i could research on?

EDIT: Just to give a better background check, i never went to a gym (only boxing gym) and i never lifted weights. Just thought it might help

Umm how did you add speed
And yeah you will naturally get stronger and maybe bigger as you grow, your at that awkward stage of not really a boy but not a man yet either.
Umm to be honest from what you wrote and my experience about this all i can say is maybe your really putting your foot through when you throw. As you when your throwing fast shots and moving in and out quickly you don't really "dig" your foot down because it slows you down, But the shots in where you dig down and rotate fully are the powerfull ones. If that makes sense :S

Padwork, shadowboxing, speedbag, floor to ceiling bags. Thats what i used to add speed and it worked very well. I understand what you mean since im in the middle of my growth. I understood what you mean that my power should start from my feet but as you said it seems very slow and whenever i tried to throw a full power i would be too predictable and the guy would simply dodge it and smash me up with counters .. on the other hand with full speed i hit him alot and never give him a chance to start his combination but as i said.. I can never 'finish' a guy off. Im simply wondering if i should try to increase my strength now and probably get slower? Or keep up this speed ratio and the strength comes along with my growth?

I'm not completly sure about this:
Hearns didn't have many ko in the amateurs. Look what happened in his Pro carrer, When he had grown into his manhood. May just have been down to improved technique?

try to punch through the target, and transfer your Weight from to the front Foot when shooting the straight right, and to the backfoot with the left hook etc. The other Way around if your a southpaw.

I started to hit alot harder When i Got my technique down.

Im about to research on it right now. The technique is there and i have very good footwork and head movement but you brought a point which i completely forgot about when i was down to the basics, trying to hit through the target. I just snap my punch and as soon as it connects i pull back (quick points) but ill work on the weight movement to gain more momentum. Thanks for the post

To increse power, plyometrics/explosive movements are effective.. this will also increase your speed. Examples: med ball slams, Sprints, box squats, intense heavybag conditioning, etc...

Power = Strength X Speed (remember, power in regards to punching is generated from your lower body)

Its in Albanian and hard to translate it in english :S, its some old book she had regarding the human development and growing up will always give me that extra strength but i will just have to see for myself.

Oh yea thats another one of my favorit playstyles.. counterpunching but sometimes people use it to my advantage. I have the bad habit of 'waiting for the perfect punch' instead of trying to pull out as many punches as i can. Obviously this can be very very good and stun quite a few guys in other gyms (cost me 2 black eyes also but im solid when it comes to taking punches)

EDIT: Haven't seen you post in sometime mate, hows Boxing goin?

    Keep the speed.

If your power punches are predictable its because you are throwing them in a predictable way not because they are slow, try adding in some feints, and using your powershots after you have your opponent covering up with your fast combos, throwing a fast flurry to the head and then a powershot to the body is usually effective in the ams, they will cover up and so cant see the body shot coming, speed plus feints should create the opportunity for your power shots to land.
