Clue for "The Acorn"... not an official nickname. Was dubbed this by his "opponent".

Is it Jake Kildaire for the arm?

Read something about that not too long ago.

The arm is currently on tour in the USA, along with a heap of other boxing artifacts.

Had to 'phone a friend', 'ask the audience' and play the '50/50' to solve this one Flamengo! Ireland's first bareknuckle fight champ Dan Donnelly is the answer.

As you've a Barry Michael fan here's one you'll probably eat up before anyone else:

Well done CHB... Its usually housed in the pub called the 'Hide Out'... the arm was exhumed by gravediggers who normally sold the parts the loco Doctors.

Blakeney 'kid' Matthews..... think he also had terrible gambling problems... pity, we was a crowd pleaser.

That's one of two correct answers. Not sure how the 'Kid' actually died, but the opponent I had in mind asphyxiated himself in his car.

Fenech made his debut at Marrickville RSL (where else would it have been?). On the same card Mitrevski had a shocker, KO'ed first round by Joe Laferla (better know, if known at all, as Young Hinton). It was Hinton's first fight. He lost his second match and gave boxing away!

This thread has just set a new record on the net for longest thread without 'SEX' being mentioned. Now that I've used the word we can move on....
