    Who am I.
    I'm an Oz.
My career was a a rather checkered one.
I was considered "small" for a heavyweight.
I never won a title but I fought the best in OZ in my time, as well as internationally well known contenders, including 2 ex champs.
But my best time is now.

    ****** Fortune

I'd say now is his best time, having been head conditioner for manny Pacquaio for a time as well as all the other blokes he has trained

Kali Meehan's not a bad fit......Wasn't born here. But considered an Aussie now. Perhaps not considered small for a heavyweight. But not considered large.

I would say Meehan is above average for a heavy..even for today.

6'5 and consistently coming in 225+.

I thought Fortune as well, but apart from Lewis couldn't figure out who the other ex champ was.

After a closer look it might have been Czyz, so I reckon Bushys right.

Couldn't resist the punt on Kali...career was a 'checkered' one...the bait was just irresistable.

Bingo. Just1n it is. (Whats the key to the board screwing with JF's 1st name?)

    Clues were;
    Lennox Lewis
Will Hinton WBB champ (whatever the WBB was )
Contenders were Buster Mathis & Kali.

    It's a bit hows-ya-father but I had to shot something in :D

"Checkered" was a tip but a blind one.

The board doesn't allow the use of Just1n as a name as it shares it with a popular site for watching illegal streams.

Have posted again...hopefully a bit more readable:

Boxing Legend Ambrose Palmer had an office in the basement of Festival Hall in the 60's and 70’s, and over many years trained a wealth of Aussie and overseas talent in the hall's gym. Can you put a name to these 3 Palmer trained fighters:

1/ Started out with Palmer at Festival Hall, but moved on. Went on to be world class and won Aussie & Commonwealth titles along the way. Only stopped twice in a long career.

2/ A TV Ringside and Festival Hall regular who also fought interstate and on one occassion overseas. Won Australian welterweight title, and strangely (considering he was a Victorian who fought mostly here) the South Australian welterweight title. Lost a string of bouts towards the end of career, including a couple to very, very highly credentialed Aussies.

3/ Another TV Ringside and Festival Hall regular, in fact he barely fought anywhere else. Seemed in the 70's that he was on TV Ringside every second week. Won the Victorian State lightweight title and lost it in his very last fight. Fought a Who’s Who of Aussies in his division.
