    No bloody idea, mate.

    Another punt - Dave Russell

....if it's not him I'll have to leave it to someone else.

What was the story with this one Sally?

Did Danny enjoy getting banged by Big Bob, Kali etc so much that he thought he'd inflict some pain of his own using a coconut??

    Sounds like a whacky story!

The Victorian Welterweight that had a bigger football career, was Bobby Rose, Collingwood Captain and Coach.

Two questions in one story here: you have to name the two fighters.

Fighter one, fought in the 40s and early 50's - with a given name of Noel. He fought under a nickname....which matched his nuggety body size at 5feet and 4 inches.
He held State and Australian Championships, and he fought some of the best around at that time, including an indigenous fellow who beat fighter one. Fighter two was proclaimed to be the very best in his weight division on the planet; fighter two then went on to win the state title in a heavier division to fighter one, and then won Australian Titles in two heavier weight divisions.

    Fighter One is:
    Fighter Two is:

"Couldhavebeen" I think Bob Rose played for Collingwood but originally, barracked for Richmond! Could be wrong.

Seeing Elly Bennett as being the indigenous, best in the division guy and Noel 'Stumpy' Butwell as being the other.

    Correct weight Couldha!

Amazing when you look at Elly Bennetts record; see he dropped 7 pounds in weight when he was a featherweight champ to fight Carruthers at Bantam. Incredible career.
Lionel Rose told me once that Elly was the greatest, my dad told me the same thing.
( my dad, aged 17yrs, fought Butwell twice)

dan and crew were at the local, and had been there quite a while. i guess it was the royal, gatton. someone had a coconut and wanted it open...dan had a bright idea...he'd open it with his head. so with two hands and a headbut, dan gave it his best shot....CRACK..coconut milk slid down dans arms. and dan slid under the table..

    Who am I
I fought Ali and after decking him late in the round I walked over to my trainer and said "Start the car we,re going to the bank"
I also told my wife to make herself up and be looking good when I get home because tonight she was going to be sleeping with the world heavyweight champion.
After the fight she met me at the door with lingerie and garter belt on and said "What room is Muhammad Ali in?:hey

In fact it's more likely Sonny Banks. Had to check and Henry Cooper knocked Ali down in the 4th.
