I was knocked out in my first fight in the second round. My second fight was nearly seven years after my first fight, and I was knocked out again in the fourth round. Not to be put off by this, I decided to fight the same bloke again in my third fight, but this time it was for a 'kellogs cornflake' version of a World Title. The title sounded real good though, and had the letters WBC. I won that fight, knocking out my opponent in four rounds. How easy was this, I won a World Title in a total of 3 fights, lasting only 10 rounds in total. I think I retired after that. (Alright then, a year 2005) Name and country.
Why do I get the feeling this is a trick question??? I thought it may have related tp womens boxing... until the word 'bloke' appeared....
I've already been taken for one ride today, care of a visitor who seems to have since all but disappeared (see above - there's still a trace of his existance). The same guy had a thread up regarding Danny Green earlier tonight that actually just plain disappeared. Perhaps Big Brother has eliminated him from the house?? I'll trust you that it's a legit question Tiger, and have a crack if I manage to come up with something.
No tricks up my sleeve Flamengo. No more clues. OK, smooth talker, just one then...this bloke is a bloke.
I am too nice to you blokes; a clue. Maybe this bloke might have been a pole-valter. Think about that.
Tiger.... the only thing I take out of the 'pole-vaulter' clue, is this man may have been POLISH??? I have looked high and low mate.....NOTHING!!!!!!!! A man winning a world boxing title in 3 fights... including two lossed???? Im definately missing something here!!!!!
Born in the 50s, I won over 100 of my 124 amateur bouts before turning pro. In my 17th pro fight, I bested an Aussie to win the Commonwealth title. Unfortunately, I suffered my first loss in my next fight after some horrendous home cooking in continental Europe. Not only that, but my purse was withheld. My boxing career went from strength to stength, including avenging my only loss, until my untimely death in my mid 20s. I have been posthumously honoured by a statue in my home town. Who am I? (Not overly hard but a personal favorite of mine)
Alright then, another clue. The fighter we are looking at, who fought for a Kellogs Cornflake version of a world title, fought one of his three opponents twice.....now this opponent, once fought The Pride of Wales.
