Is the guy as big is he thinks he is over there?

Since he has turned pro he has talked mince, think he was chasing Mayweather after about 5 fights. He talks as though he has some excellent record and looks down bizarrely on guys like Brook.

From a Brits perspective I have more respect for Brook - I get the impression many would agree in the UK - but Khan talks as though he is on another planet... I just don't get why he thinks he is such big news?

He thinks he is a massive name in USA but is he really over there?

Hes clearly not what he thinks. He is slightly delusional i have to admit. But regardless he is still in a different league when it comes to the opposition he has fought compared to what Kell Brook has fought.

No, he isn't. Nobody over here clamors to see Amir Khan fight.

LL Cool K has a huge fanbase in the states and is a much bigger draw than homegrown talent like Ward, Bradley etc

Stop being so sensitive, did he badmouth Islam? Nothing racist/bigoted about what he said

Khan WAS a big draw and I used to follow khan in the khan-roach days.. then he started blaming his team as usual for his lost and then became delusional and stuff... I think Virgil needs to be more firm and upfront with his fighters and just tell khan how it is... he is sidelining both Ward and Khan for way to long.

Quality of opposition is irrelevant if you are losing and getting knocked out by those opponents.

Up here (Canada) I'm sure he has a following around the GTA (greater toronto area). Other than that, most folks would say "who" when his name is mentioned, or would know him as a B level guy. No one I know who follows the sport takes him seriously or rates him highly. Only one friend of mine follows him, simply because they hung out in vegas for a bit shortly after his sort of win over barerra, and he was apparently a decent dude......but even then, this friend thinks he's a delusional joke with his last few years of opponents and comments. Obviously personal experiences and opinions and anecdotes don't tell the whole story.....but he is basically irrelevant.
