floyd fans always say that his antics is a type of marketing tool. this way they could excuse everything that floyd would be doing and at the same time, they can brand him as a marketing genius.

If he kills someone, it would still be a marketing strategy!!!

It takes a mammal in the higher evolutionary tree to discern such difference. Unfortunately, *****s don't count.

Not all, actually it is spot on. He plays this entire G image up to attract fans from the "hood" Rappers do the same thing. There are plenty of rappers out there, rapping about thug life stuff when they grew up in the suburbs.

All the crap about cars, houses, burning money, its all to appeal to certain demographic. I do believe the man is a complete *******, but he does know who buys his fights and what sells them.

    Good points.

I don't think it's a marketing gimmick though. If it's an act, he's better than De Niro.

osreyes77... trying to speak logically to "true Mayweather fans" is like trying to explain the Presidential electoral college to a 1st grader. It just won't sink in.

You're right the ESB forum is littered with the fecal matter of "true Mayweather fans" defending his inconsistencies. Such as on 41 other occasions the Pretty One never asked his opponents for OSDT or that the PED's accusations only originated Mayweather (to date Pacquiao isn't under investigation by any governing authority or there's not a whiff of him being involved with any person or lab associated with PED's), but Mayweather sure loved Pacquiao before he was seen as a legitimate opponent. The big **** eating grin the Pretty One had at the Pac/Morales fight is PRICELESS. :rofl

My FAVORITE and biggest inconsistency is that 58 times a boxer who isn't an ATG like the 41-0 Mayweather decided to step into the ring with Pacuiao without the OSDT. They decided to put their boxing skills against Pacquiao. Boxers that wish they had just some of the advantages the Pretty Boy had. Mayweather's mouth has already proclaimed he'd win the fight and it would be a cake walk against the one-dimensional "Poochiao". The "true Mayweather fans" are SO use to his **** and **** they never once asked themselves "If that's the case WHY BOTHER WITH THE TESTING IN THE FIRST PLACE?" :nono

Plus, Mayweather has done everything to denigrate and besmirch Pacquiao's accomplishments and on top of that attack him personally. Which Mayweather in his cynical and conniving ways wants to put out that persona of "*******". He wears it well. And at the same time he COMPLAINS he's not getting the same kind of love and accolades Pacquiao gets; TOUGH ****!!! :bart

osreyes77, you must stop using logic and fall to your knees. Kiss the feet of the Pretty Boy and sing his praises... :yep:rasta:smoke

He started an act which eventually took over. Good beating might actually save him from himself.
