    1. Is he a well loved sports figure who transforms his status into the mainstream.

    2. Is he a PPV draw or does he fight on terrestial TV.

All the top German-based fighters fight on terrestrial tv.

    Theres no PPV in Germany.

Sauerland are on ARD which is like BBC.
Klitsckos are on RTE which is like ITV.

Nut sure what Strums fight will be on. Him vs Abraham would be the biggest fight in german history though.

This might sound silly but do you think that if Felix is still champon Mayweather might challenge him in Germany and and make it a PPV.

I say this because it will bring in a whole new audience and obviously more money, and at this moment in time Sergio doesnt bring this kind of money that is available like Felix would.

It wouldn´t be PPV in Germany.

Sturm parted his ways with Universum, which is with ZDF (also similar to BBC), and is now with another ITV-like TV-station (SAT1). After the Klitschkos and Abraham, he was the biggest draw until his inactivity due to the law suit. The last time I watched his fights were watched by around 6 million people which is quite good since boxing bouts aren´t shown at prime time and on a sutarday where most people are going out.

I don't think Mayweather would take that risk. Of course he's a better boxer than Sturm P4P, but Sturm, unlike Sergio, is a big MW. He looks like he's on roids. He doesn't punch hard for a MW, but believe me he could hurt lil Floyd. Sturm is fast and has good skills too. He'd be too big for lil Floyd.

Arthur Abraham is much more popular in Germany than Felix Sturm.

Abraham is a funny charismatic guy who, win or lose, brings exciting fights. Sturm is just as boring as a person as his fights are.

RTL you mean, RTE is Irish.

What promotional group is he with? I think he was with Universum but they lost their deal with ZDF.

The point is, boxing may be free on tv at the moment but if mayweather was to fight sturm then it would change regardless because it would be a superfight.

I think Sturm would win too, but everytime you step in the ring you take that risk anyways so it wont be anything new.

Mayweather taking risks against bigger opponents who are not 39 years old? Has not happened that often these past years..

Not necessarily. It wouldn't be bigger than anything the Kitschkos do and they aren't on PPV.

He is on his own now and has a contract with SAT1 - one of the five biggest TV stations in Germany.

It would still be in free TV, superfight or not. Mayweather isn´t really known over here anyway.

sturm is now his own promoter, still has a manager and signed a big contract with ufa sports (marketing agency). sturm wanted to deal with RTL (TV station, which works with the klitschkos), but the klitschkos won't share the slots with sturm, so he cooperates with SAT1 (another TV station) and arena boxpromotion (öner's stable).

sturm also has his own gym, which is worth seeing - and trains now with former universum- and still vitali klitschko-coach fritz sdunek.

Sturm lost lots of popularity when he blatantly refused to fight Abraham for 2.5 million Euros. He also comes across as arrogant, Abraham is much more liked. Opponents usually like Abraham and dislike Sturm.
