Yes....It would be great for his legacy to clean up the division and I would love to see that. Also, I think he could do it.

Wrong again. Floyd made the offer to Margo, after Judah lost. He only fought Judah after Arum refused to take Margo off the Gomez card and was able to iron out a new deal for the Judah fight. You claimed Floyd made the offer to quell criticsim for not fighting Margo. However, people didn't start criticising Floyd for not fighting Margo until after the Judah fight. You can't ignore these facts.

It's hot because Floyd is no longer around...so that creates suspense as to who the best is...

    Bull****

Judah lost to Baldomir in January of 2006
Margarito fought Gomez in Feb of 2006.

So PBF offers to fight Margarito less than one month before his fight with Gomez is to take place and you think this was a bona-fide offer and nothing to do with all the heat he was feeling.

    :patsch

What heat? Floyd had a verbal agreement to fight Judah, who was the undisputed champ at the time. Why the **** would anyone give him heat for fighting the undisputed champ instead of the WBO paper champ? The fight was in danger after Judah unexpectedly lost to Baldo. Margo was considered as a replacement. After Arum refused to cancel his upcoming bout, they renegotiated a fight with Judah.

Division just got hot?? HE cleaned out the division!! I am deff not pissed at him! The biggest difference between him and other fighters in that division right now is that they may be in the hottest division in boxing right now, but PBF shuts out 9/10ths of the competition out there. MArgo gets 0 rounds to PBF. Cotto is out. He doesn't need to prove anything more to me. His highlight reel is enough for me at this point. He has established himself as a top 25 ATG to me. A victory over another opponent at this stage in his career is not going to boost him up as there is no one else in the top 50atg in the division, so his legacy can only be diminished if his age catches up with him and he gets caught.

I thought you have to carry all the belts to clean out the division? I would considered him an all time great if he did that.

FLOYD IS THE BEST NO DOUBT IF HE COMES BACK HE IS THE BEST...BUT SUGAR SHANE VS FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR WOULD BE A GREAT FIGHT..MUCH BETTER THAN WATCHING FLOYD BEAT A PRESSURE MARGARITO OR A COTTO THAT WOULDNT BE ABLE TO DO **** AGAINST FLOYD ALL NITE..EVEN A TALL LANKY WILLIAMS WOULD HAVE TROUBLE WITH FLOYD AND PROLLY END UP LIKE CHICO (RIP)...

I THINK FLOYD VS SHANE IS A FIGHT THAT MIGHT HAPPEN IF SUGAR SHANE CAN REDEEM HIMSELF IN THE NEXT YEAR...

It cannot be hung on a fighter if they cannot make all of the accomadations of the sanctioning bodies. Many of them have contradictory mandatory opponents and identical deadlines to face them. Also, belts cannot transcend weight changes with you as you step up and down to face more notable opposition. By your guidelines, Zab Judah would be declared as an all time great and I have Judah listed as a A- fighter who will be remembered (in my opinion) as a gatekeeper who got a break and unified.

Reg, the original contract signed between Mayweather and Judah became void once Judah lost to Baldomir. It was in the contract that he had to win I believe. Or at least, Mayweather had the option of opting out of the contract in the event that Judah lost.

They had to sign a new contract after the loss in the end and I believe the purse split was probably different. Being of course that Judah was no longer the recognized unified champion.

And to the other guys, Mayweather wasn't coming to Arum to fight Margarito, he was coming to start negotiations up again, which is no guarantee. So Tony, being off for something like a year, was not about to waste another 3-4 months trying to negotiate with a guy who walked away before. He needed a fight and he took it, all while turning the other cheek.

Mayweather came looking for a replacement opponent in Margo after Judah lost. Mayweather knew Gomez was a no threat fight to Margo and Arum should of taken margo off the shitty card that he had planned and pinned him against Floyd.

Zab Judah a gate keeper? That's funny when I talk to other Mayweather fans they see that as a "big" win.
