Question to UK folks. Does Khan sell 1.5m-2.5m in the uk when he's on ppv?

From what I understand they give tickets away most of the time for Khan fights, he does not sell out.

It is a myth that Khan has a huge fan base, I'm from the UK and go to shows all over the place, amateur and professional and I haven't really met that many Khan fans.

I just checked and apparently it was 1.2m for Hatton vs Mayweather. But Hatton was an undefeated fighter at the time and many people thought he could actually beat a prime Mayweather. Khan vs Mayweather is a completely different case. The numbers naturally increase over the years but I still can't see how Khan can exceed 1m.

 

hes not popular but against mayweather hed do big numbers casuals will watch for exapmple he is well known a really big fight will bring out the numbers. i think it will do far better than other mayweather fights like maidana ect

 

You could be right, I just don't see the interest in Khan being as big as people say it is.

But as you say casuals might buy into a Mayweather fight if it happens, but their styles say it wouldn't be a very explosive or interesting fight but you never know.

 

He was on PPV against Prescott. No idea how much that made and if he has been in other ones.
