But the Cotto I have seen lately is NOT the Cotto who fought at 140. At 140 his body work was Superb, his jab an equalizer and his overall skills much better.
His body of work at 147 shows almost the exact opposite, almost non-existent body punching, a lack of his patented straight jab and his inability to tie his opponent up.

Could he upset Manny if the old Cotto shows up? Or should he continue with his current plan ? Better yet is it even going to matter in his upcoming bout against the pinoy boy.

I was always more impressed with the cotto at 140 then the one at 147....i do think his power has diminished a bit as well...

But it's always said that power increases and speed decreases as fighters move up in weight. Is it maybe the fighters at this level, Welter, that's doing him in ?

cotto is the same, he's just more disciplined since margo. he knows he can't just go out and bully every solid fighter he faces at 147 and his stamina won't hold up as well. i think he knows he's gonna have to fight like he did at 140 against manny to win the fight.

i think we'll see him more aggressive and applying more pressure than he has against the last two elite welterweights he's fought against. not to mention margarito and clottey are both pressure fighters who are as big and bigger than cotto. he'll come out fighting differently against manny.
