Because he got caught four times, and he did not find a way to fix what was going wrong. Ruiz gave him time to recover, it was only when AJ went in for an exchange making the same mistakes he did previously, that he got put on his back.

I wish I could say it was a bad night at the office, but AJ had 4 bad nights at the office in one night.

I mean Ruiz never been dropped right? Ruiz went down, took a knee, got up and was calm for the remainder of the night, AJ was completely out of his element at the first sign of trouble.

It's his natural instinct to fight the way he did, it would take a lot of work IMO to fight another way, behind the JAB because that just ain;t who AJ is.

All I said was a fighter gets hurt and hits the canvas, he should get up slowly in time for the count. Not get up fast because he want's to get back in the fight quickly (too much heart).

And AJ got up, looked directly at the at referee and said he was fine after the 4th knockdown. He had his arms on the ropes but the referee did not ask for his arms to be brought forward.

again, you are the only one wrestling with how they should be getting up, nobody else made mention of it, or is arguing against it. and now it seams youre arguing the fight was unjustly stopped. this is exhausting.
