I cant understand the logic, please enlighten me. :D

Why is it some of the posters here wants Pacquiao to fight Marquez below 147lbs, a CATCHWEIGHT.

    BUT

If it is at 147lbs he also gets criticized.

Floyd and Marquez fans are hard to please. :patsch

Like i said in the other thread, it doesn't matter who pacquaio fights next. If it's not mayweather he will get criticize no matter what.

Mosley- too old - loss to mayweather
Marquez - too old- catchweight- too small for 147
    berto - too green

Well if its at 140 or 135, it isn't a catchweight if it meets the limit of a set weight class. It's when the contracted weights are, for example 143, or 144, so in between 2 set weight classes that it becomes an issue. I only have a problem with them in title fights, for example the Pac-Marg one being for a LMW belt but being at a limit of 150. If its for a title at LMW the other guy should be able to come in up to the limit of the weight class.

It was pointed out in another thread that against Katsidis JMM came in at 145, while against Marg Pac came in at 148, so there should be no problem with this being at 147. I'd like the trilogy fight and because of the fight night weights I wouldn't be bothered about it being at 147, regardless of what JMM were to come in at there'd only be a few pounds difference in the ring

Agreed, people will always find something to criticize about any fighter just to hate on them. The only fight I absolutely don't want to see Pac in is Mosley. There are some other interesting matches out there other than Floyd, and its unlikely Floyd-Pac happens next so we'll have to get used to another opponent coming in.

it happens when you become a popular boxer especially if your really good. Mayweather is subject to the same criticism and so has Roy Jones been in the past. It happens when your popular and really good at boxing :good

At 140 they would both have to sacrafice something
    Marquez up 5 pounds
    Pacquiao down 4 pounds.

147, Marquez is useless at welterweight.
But *******s seem to be fine with a useless 147 Marquez, and a fight with old shot Mosley

    I really want berto next. Younger-stronger and a champion @ 147.

Pretty much this to be honest. There isn't anyone around for him to fight, but trying to give us Marquez at 147 or Shane Mosley. That sounds about as challenging as Margarito at 150.

When Pac fought Margaritto at 150lbs they both sacrificed, but I can still see posters who wanted it at 154lbs.

Don't mind catchweights...but having belts on the line should not be allowed.

This. Leonard shouldn't have been able to take the 175 pound title. Oscar shouldn't have been able to take the undisputed 160 title. Manny shouldn't have been able to take the vacant 154 pound strap at 150. Simple.

Pacquiao didn't sacrifice anything, he decided to stay at welterweight.

So it's time to give Mayweather props for dismantling Mosley/Marquez, or to be against Pac vs Mosley/Marquez

I think Pac vs Marquez at 140 is still a decent fight for Pacquiao. A Berto fight would offer about as much in terms of legacy, but not financially. Both would be better than Pac vs Mosley at 147. Pac vs JMM at 147 is meaningless.
