    When did refs start callign accidental butts, is this in the last few decades because ive never seen a black and white fight where they ruled an accidental butt

    also when did they start going to the cards for it

    and when was the first title fight decided by it

    Not sure , but I know in the UK until very recently if a fighter was stopped due to a clash of heads it was deemed a stoppage!!!

    That means I could have headbutted my way to the British title .

    I have seen fighters winning classed as being TKO'd for this reason.

    unbelieveable.

    It has now changed thank god.

    I think it has been this way since forever but instant replay is being used more and more in boxing so refs are able to call more of these.
