Yeah I can see Peter making it past Vitali because of the long layoff.

I concur. What's more is that Vitali is determined to fulfill the dream of he and Wlad holding titles at the same time. I have a hard time believing that Vitali would even attempt this if he were not 100% physically. My feeling is that Vitali will make very easy work of Peter, whom I believe to be an inferior opponent to both Kirk Johnson and Danny Williams. But the result all lies on Vitali and his condition, and as I've said, we just won't know until the bell rings. Can't wait!!

No, it isn't just because of the layoff.

Even in his prime he was beatable. Obviously. A guy like Sammy who has that kind of heart, chin, punch and desire is going to be a rough outting for even a prime VITKLIT.

Anyone who compares Sammy to a canadian whale, part time Golfer, or an English doughnut are wildly mistaken. Sammy is a full time fighter. It is the only thing he does. He has more chin than all three of those other characters.

Infact, the only time VITKLIT faced anyone with this kind of potential he lost. That's just the facts.

Peter's power is a way overrated. It is just of one of those lies some people keep saying in order to hype Peter. He has not stopped a good fighter besides Maskaev who has a record of being KOed.

Knocking out Julius Long's like means nothing. The funny thing is they brought Julius Long to prepare Peter for the Vitali's fight. That some really funny sh1T. Julius Long, muahahaha...

Who else can they bring?, it's not like the HW division has so many good tall fighters to bring, they bring the sparring quality fighters available and Julius Long seems one of them.

Peter's power is fine, can be overrated sometimes but it's pretty good. He also KO'd Williams, hurt Toney numerous times and dropped Wladimir. His power isn't A class but it's not D either.

I dont think Peter's power is overrated, it is just that against high caliber opponents it is very difficult for him do deliever his punches. I have no doubt he has crazy power, its just a matter if his technique is good enough at the top level to take advantage from his god given power. Peters problem will possible be that Vitali can take his best shots, and will even be willing to take 2 to land 1 if he feels he can crack Peters chin.

Someone like McCline or Donald. Julius Long one of quality sparring parthers? Is this a joke? The guy cannot help with anything unless you want to pick some fruits from a high tree. He is much taller then Vitali and resembles nothing he would bring into the fight. He might be in some help if Peter had to fight Valuev but no in this fight. This is one big joke.

Willians is not a high class fighter. Toney was not hurt in any of the fight. Yes, the knockdown but that was a fluke and he was not hurt. He caught Wladimir out of ballance on his wall going backwards. Peter's power is overrated. He just throws wild swings. Anyone could do it but most of the guys are smarter than that. They put some skills in their punches. In his major fight Peter has not stopped anyone besides Maskaev. No one else. He just cannot. That's a fact. No one can deny it. His power is OK but nothing special.

Zakman also says Briggs has a class jaw. Completely ignoring that he takes clean monster shots against Lewis and while going down from some of them was never out and that he has showed great chin in many of he’s fights. Its he’s defence what is **** but not his jaw.

It’s same thing with Frank Bruno. Zakman calls him a class jawed joke, when in reality, he take **** load of punches from likes of Tyson and Lewis without going down. So while he is good evaluating chins he is very biased against certain fighters.:deal

He already has McCline in as a sparring partner and Julius Long as well, as I said there aren't enough to get, don't know why they picked Long over Donald, they are professionals going behind him and I'm sure they know what they're doing and why they're doing it, who am I to argue with that?. In the end you mentioned McCline and he is indeed a sparring partner of his in this one as well.

Toney was hurt numerous times, watch the 5th round of the first fight, 3rd round as well. Watch the 1st round of the rematch, if you tell me he wasn't hurt you simply haven't seen the fight enough times, I realised that the first time I saw it and as I saw it more and more it was damn obvious, even the biggest Toney fans admit it, I have eyes and know what I'm easing, wondering what you're seeing. I never said his power is something special, just told you the exact same you said which it's OKAY, not A class but not D either. If those fighters aren't skilled to you then that's what the heavyweight division has to offer. If the division was great an alien like Valuev who is a gatekeeper at best wouldn't have a title, nor would Maskaev. Peter is just doing what he has to do by fighting the guys available in this already proven poor heavyweight division. It's not like there's any supreme elite Peter is ducking.

Vitali must be the most idiotic WBC emeritus HWT Champion ever. Stopped by Lewis - Stopped Kirk Johnson in a non-title fight - Won the Vacant WBC title against Corrie Sanders - Defended the WBC title only once against Danny Williams as far back as in Dec 2004...The other names are Larry Donald, Vaughn Bean, Ross Purity, Orlin Norris, Timo Hoffmann, Obed Sullivan and Herbie Hide. There are people who consider that that is more important than to stop Yanki Diaz, Taurus Sykes and Oleg Maskaev and to outpoint James Toney twice and Jameel McCline ( and dropping Wladimir in his only points loss) after that Vitali Klitschko- Danny Williams fight... Vitali is a funny guy.
