Reading this months Ring, over breakfast this morning, I saw a quick quiz ,only 3 questions.

1.Apart from Marciano, who was the second to do so , who was the other, and first, heavyweight champion to retire undefeated? No problems with that one.

    2. Which great fighter collapsed and died while refereeing a bout in St Nicks. NY. 1947? Again no probs

    3. Muhammad Ali fought 8 men more than once, who are they? This had me stumped for a couple of minutes.

    Do you know the answers?

The first seven I had thought of in about a minute. Then the last came to me after another minute. But, the last two names I had to double check on boxrec, on account of old **** running together and probably brain plaque. :yep :blood :sad2

I often used to like to throw this trivia question at people. It is worth noting though that technically John L Sullivan and Jim Corbett could also be argued to fit the bill.

To be honest I had 8 but missed Patterson, it was only when I saw your list that I realised there was 9.

    Yea I got stumped:oops:
I was going to guess Jerry Quary and Oscar Bonaevana but those would just have been guesses. I think he fought Henery Copper twice once again a guess. That still leaves one more. I'm trying to fallow the no research rule.
