I'm basing this off that Fact and a little common sense that Mayweather has never been hit with the kind of Power that Mosley Possess. If Chop Chop Dazes him And Oscar rolled his eyes in the back off his head during their little brawl in the last seconds of the 12 rd then Surely if Shane smashes him in his jaw with the same power punch that he dropped a true welterweight like Margarito then Floyd is gonna hit the canvas hard and might not recover.

I didn't say Marquez wasn't the better fighter. I said that if they Fought then Marg would win because of his size and power. Marquez has more skills but Marg would be to big for him.

But has Floyd ever been Rocked by A True strong welterweight Like Shane Mosley? Who has Floyd fought that has the devastating Power of Mosley? Who? Oscar comes close and you can see When Oscar hit Floyd Flush in the last seconds of rd 12 his eyes were rolling. If the last rd was extend another 15 seconds Floyd would of went down. Now If Mayweather goes toe to toe with with Shane then he will get knock out if he hits him flush.

Now far as comparing Marquez to Margarito. Detroit and I were analyzing the Mayweather vs Jmm and Mosley vs Marg to see who was the greater challenge for May and Shane. I told him Shane was taking a tougher challenge with Marg then Floyd with JMM. I wasn't saying that Marg was better skill wise then Marquez but Marg was more dangerous and Mosley knock out a true Welterweight Champion while Floyd UD a Lightweight Champion.

Oh Yeah, In my opinion after watching those fights side by side Mosley will be able to handle anything Mayweather throws at him but I'm not sure Mayweather will be able to handle what Mosley throws Back. Floyd won't be able to hurt Mosley unless he can trick him into running into a turnbuckle like he did Hatton. If Shane could drop the big boys like Marg, Vargas, Mayorga then it's common sense that he could do the same to Mayweather if he lands it right on the button.:bbb:bbb:bbb:bbb:bbb:bbb

We weren't considering a Match up between the 2 fighting each other. I was saying that Molsey had a bigger challenge with Maragirto then Floyd with Marquez. Detroit knew I was right about that and decided to post this garbage that I said that Marg was a better fighter then Jmm in which I did not say.

There is all of this would of and if stuff when it comes to Floyd. I highly doubt De la Hoya could have knocked down Floyd even if the fight went 15 rounds. Secondly, Floyd WILL NOT go toe to toe with Shane, that is not even his style. Using Vargas and Mayorga as example of good knock out wins is kinda weak. In one fight Vargas took many rights and was TKO due to swelling, and against Mayorga, Shane looked very flat. All of Shanes recent opponents have been brawling and come forward fighters, which is completely the opposite of Floyd's style. Floyd UD in my opinion.

Cotto gets happy feet after a good shot often...Floyd's done so himself but not quite as often. Overall both have really sturdy chins. Cotto took flush bombs with guys like Shane and Margo without dropping, he's definitely got a beard on him.

And for the Marquez comment.....yeah thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Marquez is a world class fighter, Margarito has about the boxing ability of two slabs of plaster of paris....quite literally

Had Marquez gotten by Floyd it would be a valid point. Roach is talking about Pac/Margarito now and it would have seemed absurd a couple of years back but now it doesn't seem so crazy.

I was thinking about the punch that drove Mayweather into the ropes and then Judah flurried with Mayweather laughing.

well it's kinda hard to judge Floyd's chin seeing as he rarely gets hit flush, and since Cotto moved up to 147, it was only Pac who was able to really drop Cotto (and given that it was a well timed, perfectly placed punch that Cotto didn't see coming) so I guess the 1st statement is debatable.

But the second statement? no way in hell that's right..

I disagree with both. Mayweather has never been down. Cotto's been down quite a few times. Marquez is better than Margarito skill wise by far... the only thing Margarito has over him is size.

To be fair the big punch in the 2nd round did rock Floyd. Luckily he recovered nicely and it was all downhill from there for Mosley.

Still fun to look at these old threads where people said Floyd would never stand and fight against Mosley and his glass jaw would be shattered. Did the haters ever give credit where credit was due? Doubt it. They probably just immediately went into damage control with "Mosley was shot".
