    1) You should definitely take the CLO, a GREAT supplement. Take them whenever you like. 5-10 pills (grams) a day will work wonders for joints and other health factors.

    2) Depends on a few things, but take 2-4 of the zinc tablets for some health benefits and slight hormone control. Magnesium with zinc is great for sleep but by themselves they are still important minerals especially to the training person.

    3) See question 1! CLO might be what you need and that's that. Get a foam roller (physiosupplies co uk) and roll your quads, IT band, hamstrings, calves, lower back, glutes, piriformis (look these up if you don't know), tightness in ANY of these areas can lead to knee pain, apart from wear and tear, tendonitis, arthritis etc in the knee itself but that's slightly harder to treat. If it flares up from certain activities then maybe re-plan your training a little bit. If you have to do that activity and the pain isn't really bad, then just ice after the activity. Cod liver oil will work wonders though.

I was hoping youd make an appearance in this thread (check the tags(no homo))

So definitely cod over the other options??

Ill look into one of those. I think the two years i spent body building and mostly ignoring my legs cant have helped my knees. Theyre probably just dealing with the new movement and pressures being put on them.

LOL I didn't even see the tag mate, that mate me smile!

Cod liver oil is excellent, and cheaper than fish oil because it contains less omega 3s per 1000mg, blah blah blah. BUT, it has vitamin A and vitamin D which are very useful, and frankly the difference in price between "fish oil" and cod liver oil is not justified by the lower concentration. So cod liver oil is the way to go.

Probably, there is a difference between soreness, tightness and fatigue , and injury, pain and something-needs-to-be-done. Any kind of squat, any kid of sled/tyre/car pulling or pushing movement will strengthen your knees very nicely. If something is neglected, it will be weaker and be the first thing to "go". Work hard and keep your body mobile, healthy and strong!

Oh no problems mate, hope everything works out well for you. Thanks for the offer! If you know anyone who wants to pay for personal training, strength training plans etc then do remember me then eh :D

Its magic the difference a little mobility, flexibility and restoration work will do. Keep working!
    fish oil/clo is magic.

  9. What I call gold supplements (calcium etc) do work you just have to take them in small amounts and get the rest from your diet.

The reason for this is the arrangement in your body takes longer so high amounts in the queue get technically wasted.

Other supplements in small amounts make other minerals absorb better.

Balance supplements if taken daily need to be taken in small amounts relative to the ratio.

Past the ratio/balance and you get the opposite disadvantage.

  10. BTW the ratio should be the correct ratio + error i.e. 75% / 2 to 50% / 2.

    1 : 8 to 1 : 4

    Find an "Applied Kinesiologist",
A good one can use muscle testing to determine which nutrients u r low on, Also great for fixing muscle problems, and many other things.
