Whytes overrated. He should be 1-1 with Chisora, he's 1-1 with old bingo tits Povetkin who's legs are totally gone, looks like **** against Wach etc., in fact he nearly got sparked by HW pillow fist Parker too.. telling everyone how hard done by he is whilst the rest of Hearns stable (excluding the Nigerian Herman Munster) sits on the shelf.. fk off

Whyte just went 1-1 with an old man, and yeah, Povetkin had the covid virus quite bad between the two fights.
Age 41 years old, he doesn't even have a style that you'd expect to age well at all.
Whyte is average contender, borderline top 10 at best.

Rummy do you believe Whyte won or Povetkin lost?

There is a subtle difference in the two and I believe it’s more the latter. Covid took a lot from Sasha and that was evident as his legs were never solid even on the ring walk.

Whyte did what Whyte does but I can’t honestly agree with those who think Whyte answered any questions that night. He beat an older man, at the tail end of his career, who had been hospitalized prior to their fight, in a rematch that only took place because Whyte screwed up the first time and has money and image behind him to force a gobshite rematch in a non title fight.

Povetkin I think was over the hill in some his last fights he had won when he was approx 37 y.o.
Legs started to go old, his style is not good if guy gets old. 17 - 36 y.o Povetkin was amazing.
Guy who was more watchable as ammy KBer than a lot of pro boxer's in pro boxing. He never was point fighter per se and he was beautiful to watch.
Now ofc, he was long ago over the hill , 1 st fight he was 40 years 11 months old. Next fight 41 year 6 months old post covid version.

I think he should had retired when he turned 37.

Was it reported that Povetkin's body was ravaged by the virus even after he was no longer infected? I see a lot of talk about it here but you can have Covid and your body be totally ok after.

“Bingo tits” first thing I noticed, they were actually pointy lol. He was happy to take the dough without being fight fit, problem is for Whyte was extremely obvious. Zero credit for beating that Pov

Any virus will set an athlete back.
It's not whether his body was "still ravaged by the virus" (which is possibly to early to say), it's the fact that he had the virus quite bad for about a month , was reportedly in hospital twice, then had to enter camp after that and try to get himself fit within a few more months.

Excellent analysis. Too many people are trying to discredit Whyte's win. He beat the man who had just beaten him. End of story. As you put it" he did what he had to do."

This is the unbiased endorsement Aydamn should leverage to initiate his return to ESB.

I think its a fair breakdown of Whytes situation. As Prof said above, he did what he needed to do.

    Another great video, nice Rummy!

Two hospital stays when beds were at such a premium, it was probably very serious. That said Whyte was also on an aggressive recovery schedule from that severe a knockout.

Whyte is better suited for the mid 240's so much faster, and explosive. Povetkin wasn't in top shape, but he was dropped in the first fight. So I tend to give Dillian a pass. He's at least not gonna go down as this generations Chisora, whether he fails winning a title. ( Parker, Rivas, Browne, Wach, Helenius, and Povetkin).

Povetkin was clearly shot, but the win is still enough to put Whyte in the top 5 imo. Just because the resumes of the other contenders are so poor. No one except Fury, AJ and Wilder has a clear case to be ahead of him.
