First of all congratulations to both fighters last night on their wins. Quigg's win was particularly impressive, dispatching of a world class opponent in two rounds was very impressive.

Frampton's win was less impressive but I think everyone underestimated his opponent, especially Frampton. That's why he started naively and got caught with two flash knockdown's. Thankfully he wasn't really hurt and went on to dominate an exciting fight.

Gonzalez had a granite chin, his head snapped back several times yet his legs stayed strong. He really upped his performance last night and showed he belongs at world level.

While it wasn't anywhere near one of Frampton's best performances, he recovered well and put on an exciting fights while showing flashes of his potential. It seems he really struggled at the weight but the travelling may have affected that, just as it did Paul Smith recently. For fighters not used to travelling it takes them out of their usual routine and I hope team Frampton take this into account before making any drastic decisions about moving up in weight.

Great win for Quigg as I said and he sent out a real statement to the rest of the division in achieving it. But I think people need to stop getting ahead of themselves.

Team Quigg identified a shot that Martinez was susceptible to and when they landed it, they jumped on him. Great tactics and great execution and it achieved their main objective if the night which was to finish Martinez early.

Great result as I've said but I don't think it affects the outcome of Quigg v Frampton. Styles make fights, as do tactics and team Quigg were spot on last night. I don't see a fully focused Frampton getting caught like Martinez did and Quigg got caught by a few shots himself lady night. Quigg Frampton is a completely different fight.

I'm not saying Quigg is east work for Frampton, not by any stretch. It's a great fight that either fighter could win but I still give Frampton a slight in the fight. That's just my opinion of course.

My point is its a great fight that will be competetive until the end. Neither fighter is afraid of the other so let's not blame the fighters for the fight not being made and also let's stop saying one destroys the other because it's 100% a close fight.

Please god it gets made. I'm still backing Frampton but Quigg showed last night he's got a great killer instinct which makes this fight closer than I first envisaged. But let's not let one night of boxing, where BOTH fighters won dictate the outcome of a fight if they faced eachother.
