Refusing? How is £1.5m and 60/40 to Frampton refusing to share the money?

Its impossible for Quigg to earn more money unless he wins , then he deserves it. Frampton won't take the risk. Thats a duck.

You seem pretty obsessed with "greedy Barry". Thing is, is that Frampton is involved with the company and gets a share of the profits. And Frampton--who does bring a lot to the table--apparently wants the money properly shared.

If Eddie wants the fight, it's not difficult to share the money with the legit belt holder and bigger name fighter...

How many more times do I need to say it?

If Eddie wants the fight then he just needs to properly share the money.

Before that time, no one is "ducking" anyone.

I'm with Team Frampton on this one, but what I will say - if you're going to completely reject £1.5m and the 60/40 winner split, that's fine but you can't do so and just sit around hoping for a better offer. If Carl/Barry can't put forward a better offer to Quigg, then they need to be accepting one from Hearn.

If the fight doesn't happen, Frampton will still make good money fighting random people from the rankings but they won't be good fights because 1 - McGuigan can't afford to pay the big fighters 2 - Frampton is going to want the most money so they'll squeeze the margins with badly paid opposition.

Quigg won't make good money unless it's against Frampton, he holds the paper version of a paper belt, doesn't sell tickets whatsoever and doesn't do good numbers on Sky.

60/40 is quite likely a purse split offer which is very different to sharing the revenue from the event.

Unless you have a proper co-promotion and share of the revenue, it would be impossible to know/control how much Quigg was genuinely earning from the fight.

    As I just said:

Unless you have a proper co-promotion and share of the revenue, it would be impossible to know/control how much Quigg was genuinely earning from the fight.

And anyway, Quigg's purse is only part of the issue.

£1.5M is Framptons purse. Quigg's isn't even half of that.

60/40 is a split of everything else.

This fight will be the third PPV in a very short period of time. Its not going to do huge numbers.

Quigg is taking a massive risk to make the fight happen and could possibly end up with pittance . Framptom is guaranteed crazy sums of money either way.
    His position is indefensible.

If the 60/40 was a proper share of revenue/profit, then please provide a source which explicitly says so.

Then it's no problem for Eddie to give them a proper cut of it.

If the PPV doesn't generate that much money, then Eddie isn't losing anything to share it.

Cyclone bring nothing to the table.

    End of story.

Barry is being greedy. But that's what happens when a fighter is managed by his promoter, the promoter looks out for his own best interests, not the fighters.

If Rigo came to Belfast does he deserve a 90/10 split against Frampton in that case using your bizarre criteria?
