I do agree that he won the 'war of words' but I'm amazed how much people buy into fighters getting an edge from stuff like this

 

How did Quigg win the war of words, exactly?

All I saw was a man (Quigg) who wouldn't let the other guy speak, sounded like he had most of his questions and replies pre-written, came out with some stupid stupid stuff, and came across like he was a child arguing with a man.

Yeah it always makes me laugh when people come out with 'he's got into his head' etc like sitting around Jonny Nelson will make a difference come fight night. I actually thought Quigg seemed quite pumped up whereas Frampton was quite laid back, he was fairly complimentary to Quigg at times but clearly doesn't see him on his level. Didnt once come across disrespectful he just seemed quite honest in everything he said, we'll see if he's right or wrong next week.

 

Quigg appeared the more confident talker but in reality what they were discussing, he didn't out do Frampton. For example when he clearly turned down a fight for more money than he'd ever received. All I heard was 'I avoided the fight so I could con the fans out of more money later hence I'm not the fearless fight anyone, anytime fighter I'd like to make out that I am'.
