The way things are going frampton quigg looks like it isnt going to happen. Hearn has said he has held talks with donaire over a fight between quigg an him on july 18th. Reckon this would be good fight would like to see this happen. Who do you reckon wins this?
I said a while back that this fight could happen as I don't think Donaire would fancy winning against any other champion. On the result, I'm not sure to be honest but if Donaire has declined like we believe then I would say Quigg on points
Good fight if you ask me and certainly a great name to have on the CV if Quigg was to win. I'd fancy Quigg on this one, we'd certainly find out about his chin though
I'd love to see this, although I'd fancy Donaire. Quigg should quit wasting time with Frampton now and forget all about him.
No Nonito is at 122. His ill advised trip to 126 didn't work out and he is back where he belongs. He probably could make 118 with a bit of discipline. He might see .quigg as the weak link at 122 alright. Watch this space....
Interesting fight. 1) How much does Donaire have left? Didn't he just pick up a NABF title? Sheesh! 2) How will Quigg respond once he gets cracked? Because Donaire can seriously whack!
Donaire stops him comfortably unless he has really declined. He is on the decline but imo has a couple years left and has fought plenty of top fighters and has experience in bundles and can really punch. Late stoppage for donaire. But u do always hear stories that donaires heart isnt in it and doesn't dedicate like he should
Don't know if you guys have seen it, but Hearn confirmed Quigg is to fight Donaire or Martinez if the Frampton fight isn't to happen.
1) More than likely Martinez. 2) Oh look! Frampton's s****s. 3) If that fight happens, I wonder what Solaris will have to say about it?
Who cares? He is Framptons best win, yet not a good opponent for Quigg? Double standards! You must rate Quigg very highly
Reports are that Martinez will be fighting for the WBA interim Bantamweight title on May 16th http://www.espabox.com/?p=14182 (use google translate if you don't speak Spanish). He was in line to fight Payano who now seems set to travel to Japan to fight Ryo Matsumoto.
He may well see that both are for titles (both as paper as the liberal democrat leaflet I got in the post earlier) and ones at a weight he's perhaps more comfortable at...and comes much sooner than the other choice...possibly without the options that Hearn may want to put into an offer
