you werent watching the same fight as the rest of us .....Quigg threw fewer punches than andy Lee in that first round.....

Wow to write something like this you must be stupid. This in itself and the result of the fight shows that to be conservative with what you throw wins fights. You can win a fight on defence along. Kiko is so predictable yet 'Carl the boxing brain frampton' took almost a whole fight to work him out while 'crayon eating quigg' took little over 4 minutes. And to top it off frampton visited the hospital after both his fights with Kiko while when quigg boxed him it was Kiko who went to hospital. Not rocket science it's only gonna end 1 way

Quigg drew with Salinas... who's since been stopped in 2 of his last 3 fights.

As you love a triangle theory, I guess Quevedo & Avila would both spank Quigg?

Quigg beat salinas by a couple of rounds he was hard done by and should prob have stepped it up a little earlier. Salinas was knocked out at bantam weight and was bigger than quigg he never should have been fighting at bantam weight. Did the guy who knocked frampton down twice in a round not just get beat?

Triangle theories don't work as you say, but i'll throw one in the mix just to be awkward. ;)

Munroe beat kiko twice, the second time by a wide margin, and buzzed him plenty.

Quigg beat Munroe twice, the first time he simply outboxed him, the second time he beat the fight out of him.

Kiko Quigg was only going to end one way if common opponents mean anything, but they mean absolutely nothing.

    Styles make fights.

  5. Worth remembering that in the second Kiko fight Carl got on his bike and ran for 12 rounds.

Quigg is a million miles better than Kiko and once he connects China Chin Carl is in trouble.

Carl did the right thing in the second Kiko fight he didn't want another perforated eardrum but he still couldn't get rid of him the the argument that Kiko was finished after Carl ko'd him doesn't really stand or he would have done it the second time round. Out boxing Kiko is no massive accomplishment munroe did it and he wasn't great technically Kiko is just lively and dangerous he's no pure boxer

I thought Quigg nicked it, but Quigg didn't exactly make it easy for himself on the night... think he himself thought he had pipped it by 1 or 2 round.

From what I remember he got outboxed in the first half of the fight.. getting caught regularly by the left hand, did he even win a single round of the irst 5 or 6?! But he came on stronger in the second half of the fight, but Salinas wasn't really offering much.

Like you said he should have raised the pace earlier and looked to end things.

You call brilliant boxing off the back foot 'running'? It seems Quiggs fans aint the brightest - a bit like the man himself!

Is it really worth remembering? He stopped him first time round and second time round he dropped Kiko and comprehensively outboxed him.

China chin Carl.. really? He came out slow in the first and got clipped twice, more or less 2 flash knock downs in the first round.

To go from fighting in sold out arenas where you can't hear yourself think, to fighting in the afternoon of an arena across the Atlantic with no atmosphere against someone who wasn't a big name and you'd been told over and over in the media you'd have too much for.... I think it's fair to say Frampton wasn't switched on. Hence being caught early.

Against Quigg in a massive sell out fight where there's a bit of needle, he'll definitely be switched on.... both of them HAVE to be.

Scott Quigg got put on his **** by Jamie Arthur, a man with 4 career stoppages... does that make him 'china chinned'??

Exactly, was funny seeing Eddie squirm when someone asked him about it in the press conference!

Maybe he was always at risk of it, but Carl couldn't do it and nor could anyone else. Quigg had a plan and executed it, and if you're being at all fair you'll give him props for that much at least.

In a rematch, I suppose it would come down to who could learn a new approach. Would Kiko make the same mistake again or would he be more cautious? Would Quigg think "I can take him" and get onto the front foot? It might be a very different fight. Then again it might not, in which case Kiko eats another big counter at some point.

But at the end of the day, Quigg TKO2 and it weren't no fluke.

Quigg lost the 1st round against Kiko but it wasn't a three minute beat down. Seems to me he was happy to let Martinez stalk him, as he was aware what he had planned when the opportunity presented itself - which it did in the 2nd. Still fancy Frampton to win in February though... but not overly confident in that prediction. Just think Frampton can approach the fight in a number of ways, whereas Quigg is a pretty one-dimensional fighter, albeit very good at what he does.

If you think of it this way. Frampton is a lot more skilled than anyone quigg has faced. Quigg is probably bigger and stronger than anyone frampton has faced.

Andnut doesn't matter how big and strong you are if you can't land and the other is too skilful. Salinas clowned quigg for at least half the fight and frampton is levels above him

I'm going for frampton becuase skills can take away a size and strength advantage, size and strength can't take away a skills advantage
