The type of fight Sky should be showing on their non PPV platform. Carroll for me late on via stoppage.
I have this image of Quigg getting thumped around the wildcard gym in sparring everyday, believing he was having great sparring. He was a good fighter until he went to America and started defending shots with his head. Freddie didn't seem to care much for Quigg and I reckon he was just happy to have a game lad in the gym for hard sparring but it did nothing for Quigg's career only shorten it probably. I think Quigg will be better for being back with Gallagher but are there too many miles on the clock now? The valdez beating was pretty sickening. If Jono makes it a war he may win by being the fresher man. Good fight and I look forward to seeing it.
I much prefer Quigg and have always liked the lad, but I think (unfortunately) Jono will be too fresh and too busy for him. Quigg has a habit of putting the earmuffs on and plodding forward, and I think Jono will be firing combinations and moving all night. It'll be an entertaining fight, but I'd say Carrol in an 8-4 / 7-5 type decision.
We will find out what level Carroll's at as I'm not sure. Is he world level or is he no better than British title level guy? I think it might be the latter but I'm not sure.
It was deserved. Quigg was weighing in on the scales, Carroll is hanging around him taunting him and then grabbing his muscles.
What a completely turd undercard! everyone is fighting a bum! even Hughie fury is fighting that same guy he did the face off while eating a banana and then pulled out last minute fingers crossed the main event is entertaining
