Valdez is with Top rank which is problem no 1. Quigg is also nowhere near Mandatory and there is no real upside to the fight so can’t see Arum even offering to stage it ahead of an American based opponent.. but on paper it would be a entertaining battle for sure.

Would be a Great fight and I think Quigg would KO him in the second half. Quigg is the biggest puncher in the division imo he's gonna be in some FOTY type fights.

Sort of fight that could be chief support to a Matchroom ppv and a great chief support at that.

Quigg is unproven at 126. In fact he has looked awful since losing to Frampton and leaving Joe Gallagher. No evidence he is a great puncher. Where do you get the idea he is?

Yes, potentially I guess, but I doubt it personally as Top rank/ Valdez will probably want too much money to come here but let’s see.

19 KO's from his last 22 wins gives me that idea!
Only guys like Viorel Simion and Hidenori Otake who have never been stopped and have solid chins, could last the distance with Quigg.

You are a biased Frampton fan.. I'm a big fan of both Quigg and Frampton. I don't think he's looked awful in his recent fights, he's just not had any respect for his opponents power and he has super confidence in his granite chin. He knows he can't fight like that not caring about defence when he's fighting the guys in the top 10.

What has my being a fan of Frampton got to do with anything? Aren't you a fan of his too...

My point is that Quigg has boxed very very crudely in his recent fights...like an uneducated face first brawler. If he thinks he can just flick a switch and "turn on" some sort of big time boxing skillset on demand when he steps up, then he is likely very foolish and very mistaken.

He is nowhere near as good as Frampton or selby.

Pick 'em fight, I used to think Valdez would be a legit player at FW, but after he went life and death with Marriaga and Servania and was hurt by both, my faith in him is waning. I lean Quigg by TKO.

Because I've seen your posts and you are a huge fan of Frampton and a huge hater of Quigg like quite a lot of Frampton fans are after their rivalry and comparisons for years.

I know his defence was poor in his last two fights but he didn't care about defence he had no respect for their power and has a lot of confidence in his chin.

You are either a big troll or deluded or both with that last sentence. Time will prove you wrong either way ;). Frampton had a very under par performance last time out..looked to have stamina problems and got hit too much. Big fan of both but Quiggs gonna be around at the top for longer I reckon.

I used to think Quigg was better than selby. But nowadays I rate selby higher. Selby and Carl are much better boxers than Quigg.

I think Quigg would give the overrated Selby a beating, and would have him favourite to beat Frampton too. In the last 1/3 of the Frampton fight when Quigg finally let his hands go it was clear he was the stronger man.

Valdez may have a lot of faults and been over hyped all along but Quigg ain't flawless either. No guarantee Quigg beats Valdez. OV has an amazing engine and seems to put literally everything he has into every shot....not easy to do ....he must be super fit. He is fit, ha she art, a punch and some decent skills too. Not a pushover for anyone.
