It was just too hard to score Calzaghe getting tagged then shoe shining on he ropes which rarely landed. Hopkins landed more in the fight iirc.

Dawson wasn't worth the effort at the time. And when he got a chance to show his mettle against a young guy in hi prime, he basically got mugged because of his own significant flaws.

Pascal was able to time him and to keep him off balance. Hopkins, a master of sensing indecision and taking advantage of it, will do worse than that. Also, BHop is a master at disarming southpaws - much of the reason why Joe C looked so sloppy in their fight.

What does Dawson do better than Hopkins, btw? Handspeed, age and that's about it. Everything else favours Hopkins.

 

Both won there fights. Chad has been calling him out since before Adamek fight. Hopkins has picked and chosen his fights for a good few years now.
