I know there will be loads on this fight in the next week or so but I've just watched the gloves are off so thought I would post it now. Personally I cannot confidently pick a winner, I have gone back and forth on who I think will win and its come to a point now where I have no idea who I am picking to win the fight.

I was just wandering what you guys thought and how you see the fight panning out? I'm not looking for Quigg KO or Frampton KO but an actual well reasoned viewpoint as to why that result will happen. I do think there are many ways you can debate either fighting winning, but there are so many things that point towards both fighters that I find it impossible to predict.

Carl will use his ability to it's fullest and make Quigg really work hard to land his bombs.

Even though he has a great engine, how great can it be when you're getting made to pay when you miss?

I think that will be Team Frampton's strategy: Make him pay when he misses.

Carl will be on the back-foot for 5-6 rounds and then start taking over around 7, then finish him in the 8th.

Carl is too good for Quigg/ Quigg isn't good enough for Frampton. Frampton wins wide points victory 8-4 (116-112) or late stoppage. An awful lot of people have totally overestimated Quigg based in ONE Hail Mary shot vs Kiko.

  4. Quigg will stop Frampton. Carl is incapable of avoiding a tear-up and when he gets caught his china will be destroyed. I expect a late stoppage for Quigg with him being a fair distance behind on the cards.

I feel your pain. What's so interesting is there are so many possible outcomes that could happen. I think team frampton will have the plan to win at least 4 of the opening 6 and then run for the last 6 hoping quigg gets desperate and leaves openings. However quigg applies pressure without really throwing and by half way Carl will be feeling the pace. I think the early rounds will be cagey but Carl takes the bulk of them. Then the engine of quigg plus size and power will start to show. Frampton will run but eventually get caught and lose by stoppage between 7 and 10 similar to the quigg salinas fight but quigg won't leave it as late to press on

I agree -an nice early lead for Frampton and the the big comeback by Quigg.I just want to see the smirk being wiped of Barry McGuigans face.Quigg by late round stoppage.

Unlike Salinas, Carl won't just be hitting Quigg, he will be hurting him. It will be tough for Quigg to stage a strong late rounds finish as his fans are suggesting. After taking any number of flush shots from Frampton, much of the fight will be beaten out of Quigg. If anyone struggles to hear the final bell it will be Scott Quigg.

I am finding it really hard to get interested in this fight, I should be buzzing for this but I just can't get excited about it. I blame Quigg.

Quigg is about as charismatic as a sausage, he should be on that TV show "Undatables".
I can't get the image of him holding that cheque up with that stupid smirk on his face.

For those reasons and although I'm English I hope Frampton knocks the snot out of Quigg.

Have you seen Quiggs entrance video, for one of his previous fights?

He walked from his front door to the stadium in his trunks and gloves while blasting Eminem, because the stadium was next to his house.

A Frampton win would be better for boxing in my opinion.

As long as frampton boxes smart and on the move he should be able to box circles around quigg. if he stands and trades he's in trouble!

I think getting dropped in his last fight has taught frampton a lesson, cant see him getting careless with quigg.

I still have a feeling one of them will struggle to make weight though
