Sadly I think this is spot on. I say sadly, because I like Jacobs a lot more than I like Quillin and hope he wins but.... getting dropped by Mora is league away from getting dropped by Lee.

By all rights Quillin should have had N'dam out of there in round 6.
But N'dam showed some resolve and he disappeared.

Rosado showed resolve and Quillin disappeared.

Its true, Jacobs has some defensive holes for Quillin to take advantage of and potentially cause disaster. But if you show a heartbeat against the aggresive it gets in Quillins head. And noone is gonna question Jacobs resolve. And I think Jacobs chin is good enough to stay in the fight if getting caught and he will show resolve and Quillin will once again disappear. The thing is Jacobs is faster , more accurate puncher, and more powerful puncher then N'dam, same with Rosado, and Lee (maybe not more powerful).

For these reasons i think Quillin catches him early and KD's. But if you come strong and show that his power doesn't bother you he doesn't know what to do and just shuts down. For these reasons he will be deconstructed late IMO

Jacobs must be more defensively responsible in this fight, and the thing is vs Mora, vs Truax, even vs Pirog none of these guys were heralded as you need to watch out for his power before the fight. Jacobs was taking chances without defensive responsibility and got caught, i think with this kinda rep hes gotta be focusing on responsible D... he is anything but a stupid fighter. Another reason im picking Jacobs

Great post aj415, and a lot of very good and well articulated points.

This is a good match, for the fans and for the sport itself. Looking forward to it, and leaning towards Jacobs via stoppage as well.

If it comes down to fighting heart & the guy with the biggest cojones then Danny Jacobs will win. He proved he has the heart by beating cancer & coming back to top level I don't think Quillen has the necessaries
    Danny Jacob by UD

You had Jacobs winning round 2 against Pirog? That was a clear round for Pirog. In fact, he almost dropped him as well. Some referees would've called that a KD.

    Round 2 starts at 11:24

I think a motivated Quillin is very dangerous, but in his last couple of fights, hasn't looked that great at all. But I wouldn't put the blame all on Quillin, I think Lee has improved tremendously and isn't the same Lee from the Chavez fights. Lee wasn't getting outboxed by Korobov by that much he was actually hanging with the unbeaten fighter and made Korobov pay the price for underestimating him. He edged Quillin in a very close fight tho a draw I have no problem with. Quillin was supposed to steamroll and expose Lee, what happened? Lee has that experience now knows his limits. Jacobs does have the tools to be great, reminds me too much of Terrible Terry Norris, a hot and cold fighter, and of course, Jacobs has yet to beat a worthy opponent. As talented as Jacobs is, I still don't have him or regard him any better than Lee, who has beaten better fighters at this point. Just like against Quillin, I'd have it 50-50 against Lee.

Bado Dook would have been a better candidate to start the RBR than this mope.
