he got caught and thats that, if he fought Jacobs another 10 times it'd never end in round one again, but he didn't whinge or complain or look for excuses and he was very gracious in defeat in the post match interview, when muppets like Fury and Adult Baby Broner keep opening their mouths and giving boxing a bad name thank god for gents and real fighters like Kid Chocolate :good
I've always found him a very amiable and likeable chap even if he does come out with a lot of nonsense sometimes.
It's the nature of the game. Anything can happen. Boxing can take a lesson from MMA, and not focus on gaudy record. Reliance on a spotless record is often a tool of the otherwise uninformed. I will be interested to see how he bounces back.
Classy post fight words, no complaints about the stoppage. In fact he generally always has come across as a pretty decent guy, but.... dropping that strap against Korobov was a very bad look.
His career was ran like a joke. His sportsmanship after the fact was commendable....but his interviews and management made a joke of the sport, and weren't a credit to it at all. Dropping the belt and a career high payday to not fight your mandatory, only to then fight for the same belt you vacated....it's laughable.
Whether it was his choice or his managers, his vacating the title last year was a disgrace. I'd be reluctant to call him a credit to the sport.
