I was pretty impressed when I saw Quilan KO a dude and then procede to throw hershey kisses into the stands afterwards. I have never seen that before, ever

Quillin is a cool kid I like him. He's got talent he just needs a good trainer to mold him.

    Did I say something inaccurate?

Why can't WNF put Charlie Z on one of these undercard four rounders? He would certainly entertain the viewers waiting for the main event. We should make a petition to send to ESPN.

Ya know I have thought that before too. I bet their ratings would go up; most of ESB and tons of other posters on boxrec, etc would surely tune in :deal

I guess the only risk they run is making viewers think that ESPN is resorting to showing WWF-like characters fighting redneck bums in backyard brawl type of fights to get slightly better ratings. Maybe Telefetura can put Charlie Z on. They've had fighters who were almost as bad as him on a couple of occasions in the past.

Seriously though, I would pay to watch Charlie Z on ESPN. He would probably act like he's Roy Jones if it happened.. his confidence would be through the roof. I could just see him talking trash before the fight in the studio, calling Jeff Lee a fukn ***it who he'll ice, then panicking again the second the bell rings. Teddy Atlas would go on a rant about Charlie's lack of mental strength and make up 10 metaphors on the spot relating to it.

The Sechew Powell fight is about to start. It's a mismatch.. hopefully it won't be boring.

True. That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw Miranda's record. But man, Powell got stunned twice in the 1st round...and he has Buddy McGirt in his corner. So........

Wow, Powell got momentarily stunned in the first round. He came back, but he lost the round.

Latimore is a highly motivated, very live fighter. Powell should still win, but Latimore could give him a tougher than expected night.

Not watching the fight but maybe the Columbian deserves more credit for doing good or is Quillin just performing bad?

Powell came back well in the 2nd round and hurt Latimore, following up with a lot of connects while Latimore was trying to get his composure back.

Exactly. Everyone knows those Columbian cats are hard to fight. The dude was 18-1-2 with 17 KOs, so it's not like he was a bum. Quillin is still a prospect as well and a cool dude (met in AC at the Margarito and Cotto fights).

He survived some tough moments from a banger, never went down and won. A good gut check fight. People always talk ****. I remember when people talking crap about Pavlik after his fight against McKart and look at him now.....

No, he's what you would expect from a typical C- level Colombian fighter.. pretty much a much worse version of Edison Miranda, with a similar physical look, style, and even last name. Quillin was just THAT bad.

Close 3rd round between Powell and Latimore.. it should go to Powell.

Yeh dude I have seen some REALLY bad fighters televised before. I think the most recent that comes to mind is Jacobs against some latino guy that looked like he didn't even have 10 minutes of training in his life. Sweet Z is at least 10 levels above dudes like that :D

I would honestly pay to hear Atlas, or Kellerman, or Lewis, or anyone for that matter go off on Zelenoff. That would be hilarious after a build-up of some sort (like you said bring him into the studio or bring the cameras into his room right before the fight). Priceless :rofl

This is a good fight so far. Both cats were hurt in round 5.
