After failing to make the 160lb middleweight limit yesterday, Quillin has now rehydrated up to 176lbs, two pounds over the fight-day weight limit. If he doesn't lose the weight the fight will be cancelled. I don't know if any of this has actually been confirmed yet but it's what I'm hearing on social media. Let's hope the fight still goes ahead.

False alarm! I'm now hearing this isn't true. Apparently there was no weigh-in this morning and there is no limit on fight-day weights. Why would someone make this up? Anyway, let's hope Andy Lee gets the victory. Quillin has displayed a shocking lack of professionalism coming into this fight.

I thought only the IBF had a same-day weigh in limit?

New York doesn't have next day weight in, the commission banned that practice after the gamache fiasco

If it was any other boxer that the OP was talking about, it would be blown up in his face like crazy.

Just because the man is Peter Quillin (A black man from America), it's not being blown up in his face. Like Robney said.

Not making this a race thing but I think we can read between the lines.

Whilst the commission might not have it, it could have been inserted as a clause following Quillin missing weight the first time around.

Thanks for posting this. I always suspect that racism was the reason Quillen did not make weight.

    Now I know for certain.:rofl
