Quillin is scheduled to fight in october at barclays center, so that would give both guys and promoters time to build the fight up. I hope they fight next to unify the belts, because martinez is out till next year and geale is fighting barker soon. Never count out macklin though, he's as tough as they come and will give golovkin hell.
I really, really hope that fight happens. But Quillin aready said "Fighting GGG doesn't make sense"... We all can read between the lines. Golo would stop him late.
There is some sparring footage that is floating around that will show you why this fight will never happen
Lets see if Golovkin gets through Macklin first... tough, tough fukin fight... I dont know I think Quillin/Golo is 50/50 fight in my eyes so far..
Quillin is big and strong guy who can crack with both hands. He is MUCH bigger guy than Golovkin. And he has beaten better names than Golo at this point and beaten most of them with relative ease. I Like Golovkin alot but I cant judge him until he has faced the best guys in the division...
He'd have a much better chance than Macklin who's style is tailor made for Golovkin. A good counter puncher like Quillin or someone that can box and move a bit will give Golovkin problems. Quillin, Barker, Murray are all good fights for GGG @160
Golovkin is getting a lot of hype on this forum. I can't wait to watch him this weekend to see how good he is.
quillin does not have 2 handed power he has a straight right and that's it. And he is 2 inches taller only, GGG has no problem with bigger guys. They already went at it in sparring, quillin walked out the gym after 2 rounds. Very easy fight for GGG.
You will call him exposed if macklin even wins 1 round or makes it out of the 4th alive so I don't see the point
Quillen is with golden boy(showtime) and golovkin is with K2 and is fighting on HBO therefore this thread is invalid.
