I think this would be a great fight. A true 50/50 match up. Both got decisions wins over Ndam. Lemiuex did better against Rosado. 2 guys at the top of their divisions. 2 guys in their primes, both coming off losses. Who do you got?
I'd pick Lemieux, if he doesn't fight scared like he did with GGG. He can bang hard, and against N'Dam he was easily out boxing him along with the knock downs. Quillin's chin is shakey. Lemieux chin is solid. But who knows. 60/40 Lemmy IMO.
Lemieux beats Quillin but N'dam was outboxing Lemieux that fight. He scored 6 knockdowns and won by less than 6 points on the cards.
I think people's views have been shaped too much by Jacobs KO1. It wasn't representative of PQ overall. Still, Lemmy would go in as slight favourite for me.
Perhaps I don't recall the fight as well as I thought I did then. I do distinctly remember N'Dam v Quillin tho, cause I had a $50 on N'Dam via points
This is what Im thinking as well. PQ has been completely forgotten because of his last fight. I think PQ poses problems for all 160 fighters.
Would be an entertaining fight and it is a good logical time to happen. It won't, but it would be nice.
Lemieux is in his prime and while GGG stopped him , it was a decent performance . Lemieux gives any other middleweight a tough fight , he beats Quillin .
