I'm not sayiing Quillin would put the Punisher to sleep in the same manner that Sergio did, but I think Kid Chocolate would put the final nail in the coffin to anyone's belief that he could regain status as as threat at 160. Kid Chocolate is a guy with very few exposable flaws. 20 different fighters 20 different styles, doesn't matter, he's a student and is physically and mentally gifted enough to adapt. His physical gifts are the easiest to witness of course. He'll engage and be the aggressor when his opponent isn't willing. Sharp punches, adequate handspeed. He punches hard as **** tho, that's what people aren't quite yet getting. If he's facing aggression, he'll work behind his jab and he's patient, he'll work it until he has his opening. This is one guy who doesn't bring one gameplan to the ring. He's a boxer in every sense. He watches tape. He don't need to wind up to damage ya, he's short and precise, that's a talent that just isn't ordinary. And he is a hard working dude, anyone who doesn't like him on the surface is just a ****.!:hi:
Quite a few guys would, at this point. Kirkland is high up on that list. Lee, another Martinez fight, Proksa, Angulo...154-160 is loaded with guys who would tap that ass.
Cintron started the crack in Pdub's jaw. Martinez finished it. Lara showed the world he was no master boxer either. How long with no news? I think he is done now.
how in the hell did Cintron start the crack when Sergio took him to the depths before the frog ever stepped in with Paul?
I don't wanna just say that fight is easy work for Choc, but tactically it sure is. Kirkland can storm him like a barn animal but it's just gonna get awkward. Pete's gonna create and control the distance when James charges in like a wildebeest.
You kidding? Quintana showed the world way before Lara. Not that anybody should've thought he was a great boxer before that either.
Nah, that fight ends with PeeWee winning on the cards (no matter if Quillin batters him or not) so it certainly wouldn't end his career :bart
Sorry. My bad. I was thinking about the first Martinez fight. NBA admitted Paul took about three rounds to recover from the first KD. I was expecting Cintron to exploit that crack Martinez started given Paul's lack of defense. Probably would have if he hadn't left prematurely.
Wouldn't surprise me if Kirklands chin would be in 6 different parts xD against Williams. But Quillin beats him yes..
