:D Margarito is busy with Clottey BTW. He should fight Quintana since he is 1-1 against him. :deal

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million. Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

This is after the judah fight when floyd and arum were not on that good of terms. Arum obviously wanted to keep floyd because that was his money fighter at the time. So they were trying to work out a package deal on fights. Floyd in Arum came to an agreement on Marg with the 8 mil. But then Arum didnt want to give Floyd 10 mil for the Hatton fight or the cotto fight.

Now are you going to sit here and tell me that Arum was willing to give Floyd 8 mil for Marg but he cant give Floyd an extra 2 mil if he fights Cotto and Hatton? does that make sense especially in hatton's case? Marg was unknown an Arum was able to muster up 8 mil for floyd but couldnt get a an extra 2 mil up for cotto or hatton? :rofl WTF does Arum think people are stupid?

Then i guess they scraped that and targeted DLH whom FLoyd said he wanted 20 mil for. Arum said and quote from espn:

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

You want to know the reason Arum said this well here it is from his mouth: Again source espn

"I don't want to, because if I did that fight, I would be working for such a small percentage, it's not worth it," he said.

    :patsch
Arum said he doesnt want to do the fight because he wont get enough off a fight that did 2.4 mil:nut cant be ****ing serious. Well Arum looks like an ass now because Floyd made close to 28 mil and im sure with floyd co-promoting the fight he made more

After reading this i dont see how you could say Floyd is:

    1)scared of Marg or Cotto

    2) that it was his fault the fights didnt happen

    Got it?

Now who's fault is it in your opinion that the fight didnt happen?

I think you are bullshitting since he could have fought Margarito besides Judah who was coming off a loss. Plain and simple retired because the division got hot. :bart

Losing the 1st time to Quintana was a fluke- much like Lennox Lewis getting KO'd by Rahman and the concrete-skulled mental patient known as McCall. All three were brought about by Lax preparation and Underestimating the opponent, and both PW and LL set it the way it should have been the first time on their second go. And people weren't asking for Lewis-Rahman/McCall III after the second fights? Why do People want Williams-Quintana III? It is the same situation.

My jesus did you read anything i wrote? did you?

Fought judah instead of Marg? they tried to but Arum didnt want to take Marg off the top rank PPV in which Marg was facing Gomez.

And the division didnt get hot he retired at the end of 07. The only fighter that was hot was Cotto because of the mosley victory a month before. But here is what evangelista cotto said after the mosley fight

"Right now a fight with De la Hoya is more marketable than one with Mayweather," said Evangelista, "even though De la Hoya lost to Mayweather in his last fight and Mayweather won last night against Hatton, De La Hoya remains the most marketable.

Cotto lets his team decide who he fights right? well his team wanted DLH not PBF.

    What is your point again?
