I thnk Johnson just basically got old. Same thing happened with Toney against Sam Peter, though in Toney's case he got robbed while Johnson lost a close decision that I thought he deserved. Both Johnson and Toney put in their winning effort in the first one, then got old for the second one. Dawson also got better between the first fight and the rematch. At this point Dawson is now a mature fighter in his prime.
