Quinton Jackson has some serious mental problems (maybe schizophrenia)

    He thinks he's "god"

If he's schizophrenic , there's still hope. (today ,patients who are dealing with identical mental conditions can always take what we call "antipsychotics". A member of my family once had an episode of "bouffee delirante" (chronic hallucinatory psychosis)...

In some cases , the "bouffee delirante" (if the symptons are persisting after a month or two) will eventually be categorised as "schizophrenia".

"bouffee delirante" have identical symptoms of schizophrenia only they don't last forever. In some cases , the condition will last a week...in others , about a month...

Since Jackson believes he's god. It indicates that he's totally deluded. Either he'll get back to normal soon or he'll be diagnosed with schizophrenia (or something similar to schizophrenia)...Schizophrenics can have tactical hallucinations (feel things that are not there)...visual hallucinations (see things , only it's all on their mind)...auditive hallucinations (hear things , voices etc..)..They even have extreme paranoia (believe that people are after them , chasing , spying on them , want to kill them etc..)

the problem is that even though you can do something about these hallcunations , antipsychotics have a lot of negative effects. (that would absolutely ruin his professional career).... Atypical-antipsychotics are the best options (because the side effects are not as bad) problem is that you still have side effects.

Indeed....I was lucky....a member of my family had bouffee delirante but only lasted 3 or 4 days...

It's quite shocking. But thankfully , it wasn't permanent. But most people aren't as lucky , and it developes into schizophrenia. and when it does...it's irreversible. You can't cure schizophrenia. it always stays with you , but like i said earlier , the good news is that even though you can't cure it , you can do something about the hallucinations , paranoia , incoherent dialogues etc....

but antipsychotics have so many side effects it can ruin someone's life. and even if it doesn't...even when you can live a normal life , you'll just never be the same. You can come back to "normal" , but taking antipsychotics is ****ing heavy on the organism.

and since jackson is a professional athlete , it could jeopardise his entire career. But first things first...what they need to do is help him and do something about his mental condition.

Im not surprised that he acted this way in front of the cops. It's very sad , it can happen to anyone. But again , maybe it's just a bouffee delirante which will last a couple of weeks or so...(like i said , if someone is very stressed , depressed , doesn't sleep for several days , it can be a dangerous combo)...

maybe jackson had a shock after losing his belt ? maybe it triggered something in his head ? who the **** knows...maybe it's just a coincidence..

I hope he's ok and i hope it's not too serious.

On July 18, 2008, UFC President Dana White gave an interview to Yahoo! Sports in which he said that Jackson had initially been detained for a 72 hour stay, but that had been extended. White was quoted as saying, "I think it's going to be a while before we get him back."

Sadly, I think his MMA days are over.

If jackson's case is not irreversible...and if he's lucky to only have a severe case of bouffe delirante , in other words a "Brief Psychotic Disorder"...something that may last a few more weeks or max , 2 months or 3...then he can go back to normal for sure. But if the symptoms are persisting after that period of time...he'll be classified as a schizophrenic.

it's 50/50....Let's just hope that it's not the case.

We still don't know if this is true and it could just be speculation. But one thing is for sure is that he seems to be having problems.

Call me crazy but I see it in his eyes in his mug shot when he got arrested. Could be that he was tired but his look was not the one i ever seen in his eyes.

Didnt Jackson turn to Christianity before when he said both his children had some form of premonition? I hope the guy comes back and can at least straighten himself out. Could be a sad day for MMA.

According to Jackson his eldest son and he had some born again dream at the same time and it freaked him out and they had to get out of the house.... Jackson also said he knew everything after being born again.

The fact that he is still in an in-patient psychiatric facility is not the best news, for him coming back to MMA.....

This doesn't bode well for Jackson making a return to the elite level of MMA.

Just let Wanderlei beat some sense back into him. That should remind him he isn't god.
